None of the following issues have yet been resolved. To do so would require the combined efforts of MNKD management, SNY management, the FDA, the SEC and the FBI, none of which seem capable or interested.
Slow sales
Restrictive label
EU approval Insurance coverage
DTC marketing
Spirometer requirement
Massive short interest aided by stock loans from long investors Market manipulation and lies

Avogadro: Thanks for your valiant attempt to lift the spirits of the committed long investors here. Anything new to add??? My reaction to your post: Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

Sometimes all it takes to untangle a complex web is pulling the right string. If you are a fan of your namesake, I would suggest that you take the same scientific approach and allow the data to dictate the results rather than speculate on the capability or interests of parties to which you can not possibly know the varying motivations for.

Hey Avogadro, What's your number? At what number will you be happy to sell? At these levels now are you a buyer? Will you look back in six months and wish you had bought more? You are correct, there is work remaining to be done. The Sanofi reps are doing all they can and should be applauded for their efforts. Once the insurance companies find a way to pay for Afrezza I expect the script numbers to skyrocket. Will that translate to a higher stock price? It depends. Make the most of this opportunity. I'm long and I'm waiting for my own number before I sell my shares

Yes all of those listed have hindered the stock price, some more than others. However, you either believe in the science, Al Mann, SNY, etc... or you don't. There are other investments out there that may be better for your risk tolerance. No one (except you) is holding this investment hostage in your portfolio. We are all frustrated in the CURRENT share price but believe things will get better (who knows when) but time is on our side! Good luck!

Mrs. Lincoln...hilarious! There is 121mill shares of "remaining work" to be undone...now that is the major task I see at hand, with a combination now of a discipline group of INVESTORS, institutional holdings, and a volatile market that raises uncertainty for some valuations and future earnings of some large caps moving forward, I see a share price that looks very attractive given the fundamentals and technicals of this equity...the scripts building behind the insurance dam "wall" continues to rise...trust me it's there as I am one of them and know others as well...when it breaks it will make the levee breaking during Katrina look like a tropical storm for the "short sighted"

I've already waited since the 2nd CRL - what's another year? Glad I wasn't here before that

I agree that when the insurance coverage becomes cost effective (ie moving Afrezza to lower tiers), sales will improve dramatically, because it is clear the product is superior for both T1 and T2 diabetics.
Once sales improve, the short interest will fade away. EU and UK approval is also coming soon, as phase3 testing has been completed.
At some point, the milestone payments will be booked, although right now, the received milestone status always seems to be a State Secret...it would be better if the received payments were booked and used to simply pay off the annoying loans, but hopefully, management knows what is best for the company.
Anyway, I think things will be improving as time passes, but the waiting is no fun.

Conspiracy theory du jour, courtesy of some old timer longs on ymb: Sanofi and Google are partnering in Diabetes monitoring.... Google probably knows Al Mann very well, since he is the engineering and business guru behind so many devices and therapies for diabetes. Ergo, the M in Google's new Alphabet just might be "Mannkind" at some level or another. And maybe just maybe, a CGM by Google would allow for remote monitoring by Google, with notifications about when to take a hit off the Dreamboat, and what dose to use (none of the arithmetic issues some new users have that way). Well? What do you think ?
