The Dow is down 200 points and MNKD is up. Looked at the board and was shocked to see that MNKD is my only stock in the green! Something must be brewing? Anyone?

Oh well, haven't a clue. Maybe it is some sort of weird quantum mechanics fluctuation, as the share price movement always defies classical explanations.

Before the recent drop with MNKD, this seemed to be a common occurrence where MNKD was up while the broad market was down. Investors may be looking for something with enormous growth potential as they see the market suffering, MNKD fits the bill for growth potential. |

MNKD is often up on Thursdays. There may be some anticipation of a surprise uptick in scripts on the upcoming Friday. Though, recently, the scripts have been generally uninspiring.

there is some talk on the Yahoo boards of mass MNKD layoffs announced, but I cant find any real substantiation. Does anyone know if there is any truth to this rumor or is it just more of the same bashery?

Does anyone know if there is any truth to this rumor or is it just more of the same bashery? There is no truth to this from what I've been able to gather, don't listen to what you hear on YMB, positive or negative. |

Just remember anything could happened SHORTLY. Today, tomorrow, Next Monday. I have circled the calendar for October 15th + or - a couple of days. With MannKind expect the unexpected. YMB is always full of rumors. A while back (about 15 years ago), there was a message in YMB claiming "Warren in Hospital-Critical! I just saw on CNBC that he was admitted to an Omaha hospital ... serious condition ... confirmations?". Buffett was in his study reading and calls pouring from all over the places asking about his health. Of course, PPS of BRK was down significantly. And BRK had to issue a public statement declaring that the rumor had no truth at all. Just hate anyone who purposefully spread any rumor like this. Keep In mind we are up on pitiful volume today, seems to me that shorts are staying out of the mud today, but the low volume indicates buyers aren't exactly jumping at the opportunity to acquire shares.

But watch the volume number at the close. Look at it a 3:55 and than at 4:00 pm. There you normally see the shares that are traded by hedges/tutes. Like yesterday's AH trade for 1,000,000 shares. Live to see another one like that today.

A lot of very sick people post there. |
