This is indeed an interesting (and highly unpredictable) game of chess. I confess to not having a good idea of where this is going but I certainly do like that we can be surprised (and not only by bad news)...
There are a lot of potential moves to any 'next move' on the chess board. I will not even attempt to guess at what comes next but I am happy we are doing stuff... Who knows what the next surprise will be?

I'm sure you will start seeing the TEVA thesis now as they are the largest generic pharmaceutical company in the world... As the leading generic pharmaceutical company in the world, Teva is pleased to offer the largest portfolio of safe, effective, and FDA-approved generic products on the market. Approximately 375 Teva medicines are currently available, covering all major therapeutic categories. - See more at: www.tevagenerics.com/products/product-search#sthash.2OCeBkSR.dpufLots of potential technosphere apps possible so the speculation will continue to run rampant...anyone familiar with Copaxone It is used via needle injection for MS and when my brother in law comes to visit, it is in the refrigerator at all times: Copaxone is given as an injection under your skin. You may be given instructions on how to inject your medicine at home. Do not use this medicine at home if you do not fully understand how to give the injection and properly dispose of needles and syringes used in giving the medicine. Some people receiving a Copaxone injection have had a severe reaction. Tell your caregiver right away if you feel anxious, warm, itchy, tingly, or have a pounding heartbeat, tightness in your throat, or trouble breathing during the injection. This type of reaction may occur even after you have been using this medicine for several months. The way I see it , this is very good news , it means that know the 5 biotech indices will have to buy or obtain Mannkind shares , so they are in their index Where are they going to get these shares, unless they already own them , they have to get them in the open market , therefore we will have more buyers bidding for the few shares available, since so much of the float is shorted I can only see the news as impacting the price of PPS shares in a positive way Thanks Al! Will listen to any opposing views Umm....shares sold short just go from the person lending out the shares to the new owner. The new owner is free to sell them to someone else. As such, the number of shares in the float isn't reduced by shorting. It's a nice thought....

What is nice about this is no one saw it coming. We know the big catalysts (EU approval, insurance, scripts, etc...) that will start the beat down of the shorts! Keep the surprises coming! Well, someone saw it coming, just not msg board retailers. I suspect this is the reason for the increased lending rates and subsequent sp increase over the past week. This will effectively reduce the # of shares available, as the indexes listed will have to hold shares. Coupled with the 9 mil B of A shares this is a coup for long investors. Maybe the 9 mil are going to Tel Aviv?

Still wondering which Middle Eastern country would like to buy $200 million of Afrezza? It is Saudi Arabia. Guess who is having a big conference coming up soon and included Afrezza?

Any demand added to the S/D equation can only help the long position but ... Does this add another psychological risk factor to the short position? I assume the closing price on the TASE would impact the opening price for MNKD in the Nasdaq. Yes, there are after-hour trading windows here but this adds a whole new trading window to be paranoid about as a short. Now, after struggling to get to sleep, perhaps by counting short borrowing cost %'s jumping over the trading desk, shorty has to worry about what is happening 1/2 way around the world while he/she sleeps. Buckle the chin-straps, short headwind is growing But - I haven't seen the MNKD trading on the DAX have much sway. How might this listing be different in impact?

I appreciate the SP bump it catalyzed, but I'm at a total loss as to how this helps MNKD or SP longterm. Israeli traders have easy access to US mkts and they're very savvy trading int'l, so this move isn't likely to change longterm interest there in MNKD other than brief (albeit welcome) moment of publicity. Could this just be a sentimental thing for Al Mann? As for increasing likelihood of tieups with Israeli pharmas/biotechs, again the serious ones are already in both US and Israel mkts, so hard to see why necessary.

It won't affect US trading, Tel Aviv is a minor bourse.

If nothing else this was a nice bump in PR which we haven't seen much of lately. It also goes to show how MNKD's silence should not automatically be classified as a bad thing. I'm sure Al and team have more tricks up their sleeves. Looking forward to the upcoming CC's. Good luck to all.

If this was a trick it was a pretty lame one, Market will quickly see it for what it is (not much of anything) and Shorts will let irrational exuberance take this to 3.80 and then bring us back down to 3.30-3.40 range or worse. The script #s are really frustrating, I was sure this week we would finally see a bump, and I was desperately hoping since this is it before Sanofi presents. If they ignore Afrezza again we'll be lucky to hold $3. Even relying just on people who can afford Afrezza out of pocket I would have expected higher numbers by now. Really really frustrating.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say the last half hour of trading today will be fun to watch. kbrion, LOL, that reminds me of the old golf adage, "someone likes every golf shot." Hopefully, it will be fun to watch for longs! This type of move (to the TASE) is new to me, not sure what to make of it. If it's intended principally to combat shorts, then two things: first, why not till now, and second, aren't there shorts in Israel, too? I do know that Al has powerful alliances in Israel, he's done a lot for that country already. Possibly this is a way in which Israel can help him (and us) out. Between the short interests here and the potential long interests in Israel, a civil war might break out!

My gosh, everyone is so hung up on the shorts and how to play games to put the hurts on them, how about this novel approach, forget the shorts deliver some sales and let the shorts do as they will, just sell the damn product!

That's one of the more subtle Jewish jokes I've seen today Baba, but at least not absurd like the ignorant speculations on ST that now Goldman S and Adam F won't say any more nasty things about MNKD. Clearly people who don't know anything about Jewish traders.
