lakers, is it correct for me to assume you are still long mnkd and that you haven't meaningfully decreased your position since your post regarding "important matters"?

killer price action on heavy volume this morning. A big seller. Getting killed today. There just isn't anything holding up the stock price at the moment. 5 mil in sales in the first 9 months is about 1/3rd of what exubera did it's first 9 months. SNY lumped afrezza among it's non performers group while basically saying that's a part of the reason for their woes. The deafening quiet. The markets don't care about slow roll outs and excuses/reasons. What could put a floor in the stock price is hearing some major news from SNY come this friday about how they are going to improve afrezza sales. MNKD should be pretty happy that they don't have an annual shareholders meeting due any time soon

MNKD should be pretty happy that they don't have an annual shareholders meeting due any time soon Schwab raised Mnkd retail lending rate to all time high, 38% this morning indicating renewed short attack. Short raised the ante. Flop will be shown 11/6. Turn, next 120 days hopefully per MNholdem's conjecture. Y'all know about 2 wild cards...

Lakers said, "Flop will be shown 11/6."
I have no idea what this means. Translation?

How often does the board meeting? Did they meet during the later part of November 2014?

It's a poker metaphor. Per Lakers, the first three cards out of five will be revealead. The turn is card #4.

Texas Holdem' is played in a series of three cards ("the flop"), later an additional single card ("the turn" or "fourth street") and a final card ("the river" or "fifth street").
"Flop will be shown 11/6" Turn, next 120 days hopefully per MNholdem's conjecture. Y'all know about 2 wild cards..." Here is my translation of what lakers is implying:
On November 6, Sanofi will tell us whether they have a "playable hand" with Afrezza. Typically, in Texas Holdem' if your flop is lousy and there is little chance of winning, you fold before you lose any more money. Few of us here believe that Sanofi is going to give up on Afrezza.
The next "card" played during "the next 120 days hopefully per MNholdem's conjecture" may be... hmmm, the only post I can recall making that would be considered conjecture was my saying that most healthcare orgs and similar 3rd Party Payers typically update their formularies to become effective January 1, 2016. That might be what lakers is implying... I don't know for certain. You'd have to ask lakers, I guess.
Wild cards: these could be any surprise announcement, such as another partnership for a pipeline API, announcement of the EU/Japan/other country launch plan or an upcoming label change because of trial results. Surprises can be anything.
One thing is no surprise. This company knows how to keep a secret. Nobody, and I mean nobody, knew for sure that Sanofi was going to be the global distributor & collaborator for Afrezza until the day it was announced.
---- I'm not sure about the validity of using the idea of a poker hand to describe our situation, though. It's more complicated than a couple turns of cards. I prefer to think of this as a chess match, myself...

And for us investors, behind the silence, feels more like a coin toss.

I'd add that the 120 days in Lakers post may also refer to the 1 year plus 1 month anniversary of Afrezza being available...hence upgraded insurance tier status maybe?

Also the price action would seem to indicate no good news from either sanofi this week or Mannkind next. But i hope i'm wrong.

The Board of Directors met 7 times in 2014 (5 times - 2013). A board meeting for calendar year end companies in Nov/Dec to discuss and ultimately approve next year's operating plan is the norm. The point of this entire thread escapes me.
