Kastanes - I hope you are right that it is good news, and Holdem - that RBC is doing exactly that. If I were a positive analyst and the companies were not answering any of my !@#$ calls or questions, I'd throw down the gauntlet too.
However, I'm skeptical we'll get anything other than what we've had. SNY will share little to nothing, and from MNKD, we'll get some good, tangible business information about long term company prospects - but not tangible enough to do anything positive for stock and counter the Short FUD and thesis. (aka, resolution of debt, increase in coverage, progress on pipeline development, etc).
It'll be same-same and surprise! The stock price result will be same-same.
But o please, let me be pleasantly surprised.

Let's be honest, RBC starting closing out of their position back on June 30th when they sold 25% of their position. Who knows they could be net short today. They were only holding a whopping $640,000 worth of MNKD. That is a tiny position relative to other institutions IMO.
In April he had a $10 PT then subsequently RBC was selling out in June...HHHMMM. Now out of nowhere, when sales finally start ticking upward (albeit, barely), he changes teams and release a huge PT slash to $1
So many games for such a small cap stock! I hope to tell some positive MNKD shareholder stories to my kids one day

Precisely! Think the downgrade two days before Sanofi's presentation was a coincidence? If you do, I have a bridge from Chicago to Michigan I would like you to invest in.

It seems to me that Adnan Butt writes the physicians surveyed said that they were okay with Afrezza and would prescribe it if the patient requests it. To me, that is very good news.
He places the blame squarely on Sanofi for not building awareness and getting 3rd Party Payer to cover Afrezza and he also seems to imply that studies to improve the label should have been started by now.
IMO - he's lighting a fire under Sanofi to get off their derrieres and git 'er done. The problem is, if SNY knows what Butt wrote, they don't care what Butt wrote. So Butt won't light a fire under SNY's butt.
Subtly I think he did. He has set up MNKD management for Monday. To this point they have only said neutral or positive things about their relationship with SNY. Even with SNY's last ER call and its negative Afrezza statement , MNKD could have gotten away with neutral comments at their next ER - effectively letting themselves off the hook. With the RBC downgrade out now, I dont believe MNKD can now do that. They would be derelict if they dont say something aggressive. Right or wrong, after Flashboys , RBC is one of the few houses I still think has some cred. Believe the tutes will be watching Hakan and Matt very closely Monday.
