eyeglasses can change that.
At some point, we will have to accept that all those Mannkind detractors had it right, if not in the ultimate fate of Mannkind, which is something that has not been determined yet, yes in the timing for the share price. To me it is of little consolation that Afrezza works so well, small validation at this point, or that this was pure manipulation, or any other excuses.
Those that predicted that Afrezza would remain a niche drug and that Mannkind might be running out of money by year's end were simply right. The fact that, as some claim, they are really so powerful as to be able to create their own reality, makes little difference to me or, I am guessing, to anybody else in this board, at this point. The fact that I got it completely wrong does make a pretty big difference.
Time will tell if things will turn around for Mannkind or not, but I think it is time to start recognizing that the lack of information, the insider sales, the negatives articles and ratings might have been based in simple reality. Afrezza is great and the fact that is so great, so beautiful in its simplicity and efficiency is a testament to Mr. Mann's ingenuity, but infatuation, whether for a product or a stock, is never the way to go. I joined this board because it was a great place to obtain information on Mannkind, but as time has gone by, less and less info has been allowed to scape the circle of silence and more and more conjecture has taken over the board.
I will be listening to managements presentation in a few hours, but honestly expect no positive news. Brace yourselves. Of course this is my humble opinion.

I've only read a summary of the quarter... but the amount of product shipped this past quarter seems a bit encouraging... through my rose tinted spectacles. It would seem to indicate stock being built up in the supply chain somewhere. I don't think SNY had any obligation to take minimum quantities, so isn't this an indication of expected increased sales... yes, yes, still rather low level.

EveningOfTheDay
Today is a classic example of how FUD is suppose to work. While there seems to be a very good organized short side who collaborate with raids and AF followup BS... there is no counter power focused power for buyers/ Investors. This is typical and very human Fight or Flight behavior established to take advantage at every questionable turn without investors having access to the answers.
I remain confident. Have purchased more shares in the last 3 trading days. It's just the integration of opposites; the irony; and the unnerving element which screams "you are going to lose it all... then what?!!!" I've been through this with other stocks and have been rewarded. It's not like unicorns pooping rainbows are "prophets" delivering us delicious lucky charms out of their anuses.
I seriously doubt that Alfred Mann was out of the conversation when the debt got paid down with cash. Now we're waiting to hear their plan and shove that FUD back up that unicorns butt.

DBC,
that might be, but with out confirmation, at this point, of little worth.
I am still in, smaller position but still in, and looking forward to introduction in Europe and in Japan. I have always maintained that Afrezza would do extremely well in Japan, but my immediate concerns are the company finances, and dilution seems, today, a much larger factor that in the previous year. At this point I would not be surprised at all to see an announcement for a secondary offering sometime in the next 6 months.

Kindaguy,
I do understand that is how FUD works, but as I said, whether it is because of they could create their own reality or because they were simply on it, the only thing that really matters is that they were right. I am curious to see how things develop, but I am not pinning to many hopes on Al Mann coming to the rescue, on a sudden surge of prescriptions or any other rossy scenarios. The bare bone minimum is what I an sticking to and that paints a rather bleak picture.

As a poster I respect I just want to say that at the end of the day your temporary color blindness may possibly change. I don't have the answers but I know that after this exaggerated long struggle to bring Afrezza and Technosphere to Market, I see this as more of a catalyst for a new beginning than a chapter that ends the story. I wasn't trying to explain FUD to you personally. There are different tolerance levels we each have and it's ok to feel and wonder at times if the choices we've made have been the right ones. Seems to me; the only way to know that is in retrospect when all the information is in... and it's definite. This is not one of those times for me.
Best to you.

I'll add my unpopular opinion here.
2 things strike me as odd with the SNY partnership.
Why haven't they bought in yet?
1. They either knew that the SP was going to keep dropping so they waited until the "right time" to buy in.
or
2. They're not really invested in assuring Afrezza succeeds.
My brain is typically black/white, so hopefully someone from the rose colored glasses crowd can provide some of their radiance.
I'm truly not a basher and I'm not even going to be an "I told you so" kind of person. I hope that my reputation on this board will be one of due diligence and objectivity. And I'm pleased (bittersweetly I might add) that some of the emotional blindness most had is now being revealed. Why some continue to buy large blocks still baffles me. You have more money to lose than me haha.
Best of luck to all, but especially longs.
