"management will host a conference call to discuss the fourth quarter and full year financial results and other Company developments"
Remember when we used to get all excited about their use of the phrase "and other Company developments"?

Maybe this time we will be pleasantly surprised with the "other company developments" I sure hope so. Otherwise it's going to be a very long 2 months...

Don't hold your breath about anything being released in the concall unless news comes out prior the the call. But again, don't hold your breath for that either. It's now a waiting game and the USS MNKD will bob along with the turbulent waves the market is making.

The following from ymb (cphammer): "During finalizing of negotiations it would be very imprudent for an officer of the company to comment on the status of negotiations. It does not mean they cannot comment on the performance of Greenhill. 2 officers of the company have commented on the performance of Greenhill. Both officers have clearly stated they are very pleased with the performance of Greenhill. It can only mean they have brought more potential partners to the table or that they have brought a number from a potential partner that pleases MNKD board of directors."
I (along with everyone else on this board) noticed the conspicuous absence of partnership updates in recent public events. We also noted the comments re: Greenhill. I like the way cphammer connects the 2. Under normal circumstances, this type of innuendo would launch the PPS. The fact that it hasn't speaks to the level of trust the market has at this juncture.

Maybe the absence of a partnership is due to information on a buyout or merger after approval. Greenhill looks like most of the work they do is acquisitions and mergers, buyouts.I thought for years that a partnership would happen before approval.Ashiwi, A very long month and 29 days, Dont give out extra days, every 1 day seems like a week.

It would only make sense that an FDA approved Afrezza is much more valuable to MNKD and more costly to a big pharma. Al Mann with Greenhill want to maximize it's value and are obviously holding out for the right $. If a big pharma wants to anti up prior to approval the price has to be right. MNKD has also mentioned that they would prefer a global partner. MNKD executives have to be very careful about divulging information that may not pan out. There are lawyers out there that are ready to pounce on anything that the company may say that may influence investors the wrong way. IT was painful to see sub $5 this morning. I wonder how many shares were "stopped" out only to regret the ultimate turn around.

Gosh, I hate to sound like OPC, but I can see Greenhill doing a great job of everything but convincing Al to come to terms. Sorry to take that view, and while I wouldn't say it's likely that's the main issue, for me, the possibility of that being the cause of no partnership becomes a little more likely with each passing day. For now, the theory that Al alone is holding out for a better deal than has been brought to the table remains a long shot. And, to be consistent, a while back here I believe I predicted a partnership announcement would come in February, so there's still plenty of time for that prediction to be satisfied.
Well, at any rate, if it is Al holding out, I hope he's right! And he could very well be.
Sold some puts for March 22, $5 strike, this morning, got .65. Geez, we'd better not be under $5 on March 22, we'll have to have paramedics on alert in Miami for Spiro if that's the case, and perhaps for me as well!

I also have sold the March 22 $5 puts for .59 a few days ago. Al told me that some pharma want to partner before FDA approval and that some want after approval. So I only could speculate that the offers before approval are not sufficient to meet Al's or Greenhill's requests. The ones that are willing to ante up a better deal want to wait for approval. A cat and mouse game that has been ongoing for 4 years.

I will not need paramedics until 1/17/2015. My wife wants to buy some defibrillators and oxygen to have on hand if things go array. I told her not to waste the money and just use the 38 magnum on me, to make sure I'm dead. . She will be so mad at me, she probably will prefer using the gun anyway. She will probably shoot my computer also.

LOL! Spiro, that is funny! Gosh, the market and MNKD are both all over the place today. Either could easily be red or green when the checkered flag falls today.

This year's MNKD annual meeting in May has the potential to be euphoric or very depressing. Of course there is always the possibility that the FDA can delay the PDUFA and things can still be in limbo. I just never thought we would see the 4's again at this point. Kind of depressing after 4 years.

Well, it's been 10 years for me, ashiwi, all the way since the IPO, in varying degrees, in varying manners and at varying times since then.
The market's been bad lately, and that can't have helped our share price any. But, it does appear that at least part of this recent poor share price performance is linked to a lack of partnership announcement, which apparently has been expected, and perhaps it is now rumored as awaiting the FDA decision. My previous predictions on what the price would be on the last day before something meaningful pertaining to AdCom, be it when the AdCom pre-meeting notes are released or not until the results of the meeting itself, assumed that the rise in price would be from a point no lower than $5. I'm hoping that's still a good assumption, and I believe it is, but I just don't believe it as firmly as before.
I'm still hopeful for a surprise announcement this month, there is still plenty of time. But for there to be a Mann-acceptable, pre-PDUFA deal, there must be at least two Big Pharmas in the running. Based on the comments regarding the great job Greenhill is doing, one would think they've brought at least two to the table that are willing to deal pre-PFUFA, if for no other reason, to lock this thing up before a half dozen big pharmas compete after approval. The downside for a pre-PDUFA partner should be relatively minimal (unless Al wants an unrealistic sum of non-contingent money up front) in relation to the potential reward.
Get it done, MNKD!
