Eric Fenar's twitter profile pic with Al Mann? has this always been his profile pic? It's an old pic - I've seen it for quite a while.

... So far nothing that has happened seems normal. And what a great product.
Truer statement was never uttered in this forum.

I think their photo is sending us a clear message (celebration); Cheers and Smiles on their faces! NDS are verbal disclosures, not pictorial! As they say, a picture can say a thousand words.
Cheers!

Apparently so... there is some very good discussion that takes place and I guess I do not want to miss it. On the other hand, I have noticed some outsiders creeping in (fudsters) who really do not belong on this message board... they need to be push back too YMB, etc.
Also, I notice a huge... huge... spike in YMB shorts/fake ids, etc. Could be a sign of times to come.

HG 42 Wish we investors knew what the celebration was for. As usual, the glass is is always half full yet the SP keeps getting pummeled on daily basis. For someone who got in at $8.6, I have to say this is gut wrenching and sickening.

Truer statement was never uttered in this forum. A long strange trip it's been. Strange is an understatement. Try a google search for "mnkd dark pools" With the number of exchanges there are now, and proprietary HFT, and possible collusion between hedge funds (and even the media, and even paid bashers), the whole market has become impossibly complicated except for those with the keys to the castle. My perception is the stock price is an illusion until 2017. Nothing solid in terms of revenue for a while, so the wolves will feast on the unsuspecting

Are you hearing about a lot of resistance from Dr's prescribing Afrezza? My cousin a diabetic in NYC who has a ton of hypos cannot get a prescription. My best friend is diabetic and I mentioned Afrezza to him awhile back and started learning it. He is very good with managing the disease as best as one can. He finally said that he has seen enough (following people on twitter and the diabetes forums) and he no longer wants the pump attached to his body and ready to move forward, only to get resistance from his Dr. My friend is pretty blunt and told his Dr either prescribe it or I find a new Dr. The Dr said give me 30 days to learn more which is a win IMO.
My cousin is a nutritionist and she has been learning about different diabetes treatments for her clients. She recently went to a couple of diabetes conferences and learned about Afrezza. She had an appointment with a new patient who was having hypos and she mentioned Afrezza to the client. The client said she mentioned it to her Dr and it was shot down due to unknown lung issues.

At least we have some physical evidence to support the rumor of the meeting of early adopters in San Diego. We won't hear more from these guys specifically but the photo in SD, with Afrezza inhalers in hand, gives me confidence at least that Sanofi is trying to figure it out. If they had decided to give up on Afrezza in Jan this meeting likely would not have happened. But that doesn't really stop our guesswork and nervous speculation! BTW - I am in deep but plan to hold. I certainly don't think all is lost yet but I am a realist.
One thing that would really help us be more confident is if there were some sort of announcement from Mannkind and Sanofi to describe the reason for the meeting. I assume they are interested in capturing real user experiences with Afrezza and Afrezza prescribers for any or all of the following possible reasons: 1. future clinical trial design, 2. changes in specific dosing instructions/labeling, 3. improving communication with endos and PCP's, 4. a targeted marketing approach - for the coming TV ad blitz (kidding, I doubt that will happen).
Can't help but feel like I'm always WAITING for significant events. Mannkind needs one or more "next" TS candidates. If the future of the stock is wholly dependent on Afrezza sales then it is hard to see how we will make it to 2017 without a miracle in financing...Biotech company valuations are tied to their future pipeline. The proof of principle for inhaled delivery has been accomplished in an excellent drug/device. AFREZZA REALLY WORKS! Stating the obvious, I want to know what the next API would be and understand the unmet need for it.

Has anyone mentioned that Dexacom (continuous Glucose Monitor) is located in San Diego? Do you think there might be a reason the meeting was in San Diego? I do.

Those pumps sometimes have issues, huh? Saw a post somewhere yesterday where it was claimed someone's best friend died due to a malfunctioning pump. I wonder how many fatalities there are with pumps and injectables. Maybe there are multiple papers already published with studies about those topics. I can't imagine a fatality, ever, due to Afrezza alone, even if there was a hypo (say from using a wrong cartridge), it would be very brief. I was with a group xc skiing once and a young woman with a pump had a hypo, passed out in the snow. She could have died if nobody noticed her. Very scary.

Would love to hear of a similar meeting with T2's exclusively...but perhaps the powers that be are compiling data from T1's for T2's to eventually follow for optimal results?
More thoughts on why T2's were excluded? docfrezza? liane?

Has anyone mentioned that Dexacom (continuous Glucose Monitor) is located in San Diego? Do you think there might be a reason the meeting was in San Diego? I do. "Dexcom has been working with Google to develop inexpensive Continuous Glucose Monitors and they also happen to be headquartered in San Diego. Now that Sanofi has teamed up with Google Life Sciences, it would be an awesome combination to combine Afrezza with inexpensive monitoring for exceptional and needle-free diabetes control..." - Found on page 7 of this thread.
