Let your plans be dark and impenetrable as night, and when you move, fall like a thunderbolt. ― Sun Tzu, The Art of War "Let your plans be dark and impenetrable as night, and when you move, fall like a thunderbolt." It sounds like Sun Tzu was referring to MNKD and its stock price. That actually made me laugh. I thought I was the only one who thought posting Sun Tzu quotes in relation to MNKD was a bit too dramatic. Almost as ridiculous as using Twitter as a source for insurance coverage.

"Don't feed the trolls." "You knew what you were getting into when you invested so stop whining about it now." "I revel in purposefully obfuscated quotes that can apply to any situation and mean anything." "My magic 8 ball is broken." "Never use a crossbow to wipe your butt." Sun Tzu - the less famous one.

As I have been told the meeting is a practitioner's advisory board. This will likely involve the input of a small group of practitioners to discuss whatever topics the company wishes to discuss. What is to be discussed is not known by me. A speaker's training meeting would involve a larger number of practitioners being trained to lead presentations either locally, regionally, or nationally regarding Afrezza. This meeting is not a speaker's training meeting. I have no more information or specifics than this. It sounds to me like maybe a last ditch effort to find out why Afrezza works for some and not others. Maybe why so many samples went out and no refills on those samples, And why with all the trials only a little fraction on participants are using Afrezza? Many see this as a good thing, I myself see's it as a corrective action meeting. I was thinking at first this was an advertisement audition meeting.

I have been tracking refills and the growth looks very good, very linear though it could be better. I would not make too many assumptions about the samples. For years I have not had any prescriptions but at one time, I would love to try anything new (that made me feel better about corporate life), and when I did, the doc (knew I was a chemist) would not bother with an Rx, just give me bottles of samples! That's perfectly legal, nobody can tell the docs what to do with their samples as far as I know. My personal intuition is that maybe Sanofi is amazed at the social media sensation backed by hard data. This kind of stuff just didn't happen in the past. If Sanofi can capture that in some way that's ethical and FDA approved we are talking blockbuster.

Matt said he was surprised that so many samples was being giving out. How many samples? No one knows its top secret. Like everything else. So with all the samples, Why the script count we have? If you got giving a free Viagra sample and it changed your and your others life you would be nocking the door down for it, I don't see that with Afrezza.

So what do YOU think is causing the flat scripts?

The same every week we hear about. Is that your gage? Ill be more happy when its changing thousands. How many people that tried Afrezza and it's not working for them? You have a number? I don't but I'm sure there's many.

The one (and ONLY) thing I am confident in, based on the cold-hard science and nature of Afrezza, is the fact that it does work better than any other insulin preparation currently available. On the list of things that could be responsible for the unexplainably low script count, Afrezza lacking efficacy is probably at the bottom (just a rung above the "pilot" theory). The refill numbers based on the tRx are actually really the only thing that is encouraging right now.

For many of us, when we see T1's obtaining A1c values at record lows and in some cases at or close to those of non-diabetics, while also avoiding hypos we believe that's sufficient to show it's a great product, particularly when the prescription renewal rate for those using the product is fairly high. Do you disagree with that type of assessment? If so, why?

The biggest setback I think is that its inhaled via the lung. So many out there think its the same as smoking cigarettes. Non educated diabetics are going to think like this. Via Lung= danger

Do you disagree with that type of assessment? If so, why? So true. I don't know why anyone doubts the efficacy, safety and superiority here. Though I saw doubts even from a science blogger at AAAS science. So strange. A lot of these guys just split hairs for a living. Make sure potency is within 1 or 2% for example, and that is very very very important. But more important is using natural human insulin which our bodies are equipped to handle without risk of death at the doses presented by Mannkind/Sanofi. Like Steve Jobs liked to say, "think different"
