Schwab just returned my share as well. Wonder if this means the odds of a short squeeze have dropped. I very much doubt there will ever be a short squeeze. We were told months ago, even if none of us wanted to believe it, that the stock was on it's way to 1 were shorts would be able to cover easily if enough panicked longs sold. I am guessing they can still push it further down it they so choose to do it and I am also guessing that at this prices enough people are getting rid of their shares. The question is, is Mannkind's probable upcoming offering factored in or not? If it is, their announcement might be almost non material, if it is not, down further we go. Turns out we were all drinking the cool-aid, turns out predictions by the Street were correct (it is moot point to claim manipulation. I do not doubt that it happened, but the reality is here we are), it turns out shorts will have a great christmas and it turns out the most delusional or deceptive ones, depends on what perspective you take on all this, was Mannkind's management.

Fidelity just lowered again to 20.5%! Rate cut in half in about 2 weeks! Any theories why? I say more shares flooded the market to lend out recently.

Yes it's best to realize now that we are the greater fool (for the moment). I for one will try to ignore the cult worship here. Just forget the personality and past successes, maybe. Edison delivered on a light bulb, phonograph but was dead wrong about AC in the end. The best run of investing success was just before I plumped down money on this, and you know where I got my tips? From zerohedge, the most cynical place in the world on the open net. Very dark, negative and cynical but it's run by an ex-hedge fund guy who hates hedge funds. We need that kind of intelligence here.

Will his great idea perish for 150 years before an Elon Musk picks it up again? And did either of them have spies from Goldman Sachs with inside information mucking up their way? Somebody had inside information. Otherwise the short interest would never have been this high for so long. Who leaked it? A Mannkind search on linked in shows a conservative 1000 present and past employees or contractors. Leaks like a sieve, except to retail holders.
