@davinci ... I too would put a big question mark on a large share offering right now and what valuation they could get. While it isn't an exact comparison, just imagine if the shorts have borrowed and stockpiled another 100 million shares and unleashed it on the market right now... what would that likely do to the price? Significant buying just seems hard to come by, that's why we're having a hard time finding a floor. Certainly not a second offering on a date when the Dow was down 300 points. The 100 million shares at $1 was just an illustration. There should be some opportunity time (like the announcement of TS deal or something like that) in the coming months to offer some shares. Recall the debale we had in early November when the TASE shares were bought, PPS went from 1.76 to 3 (at some point) in one day. And Mannkind certainly does not need to offer 100 million shares at a single offering. With Al Mann on board, Mannkind will have some flexibility in waiting for an opportunistic time to raise needed funds. Al Mann is 90+ and Mannkind is not swimming in cash. Realistically time is not a friend. Only script count dramatically increasing will make a difference.

Though I have in the past voiced that I didn't think it likely SNY would invest in MNKD, that might be possible sometime in 2016. They obviously are the ones that truly know what the success curve of Afrezza will look like. Assuming they have faith in Afrezza, and that is still my working assumption, at these prices they are the one organization for which investing in MNKD may seem like a high reward low risk investment. Of course that assumes they believe in Afrezza, have a plan they believe in, and that the conspiracy theory of them wanting to bankrupt MNKD to steal Afrezza is false.

You know... the one where SNY board of directors has been infiltrated by aliens (not the kind simply lacking documents), Brandicourt is brainwashed sleeper agent controlled by Angela Lansbury and Al has fallen prey to a body snatching pod (Hakan found out and had to be dealt with)... all this tying in with the alien plot to destroy mankind... I mean Mannkind.

I mean Mannkind. OF COURSE I should have known. Thanks for clearing that up. And Feuerstein, Shrkeli, Karp and GS are actually humanitarians with no profit motive, they ultimately hope that the whole diabetes problem will go away if we all lay off supersized Big Gulps and xl fries at the Drive Thru. (But you would never guess it by looking at AF's waistline... that guy is headed for big trouble)
That remark about aliens brings back a memory of that Twilight Zone when aliens arrive "to serve Man" and it turns out to be a disturbing double entendre.

Spiro has to be very careful when he states something positive or Liane will spank him for pumping. I am not sure that came out right, but anyway, If anyone believes that Sanofi doesn't know how great Afrezza works when delivered correctly, they are in Lala land. They just wined and dined 10 or so early Afrezza users and a few Endo's in San Diego. Do you really think the participants didn't share their CGM records and A1c results with Sanofi and friends? By now, it is quite obvious to Sanofi that Afrezza represents a potential blockbuster drug, once the label is changed to reflect the clear superiority that a properly designed superiority trial will easily show. Sanofi desperately needs help to strengthen their balance sheet in the future and they know that Afrezza could easily be a huge revenue generator with a better label. The only question remaining is how does MNKD survive until this strategy is completed. Spiro believes that MNKD may have something up their sleeve which we will be hearing about before the middle of January, if not sooner.
Spiro here, BTW, Spiro doesn't drink or do drugs, but apparently, he knows how to lose money quite well.

spiro... any speculation why they haven't started the superiority trial yet? To me it doesn't seem like it would have to be a huge, long trial.

spiro very happy you survived your recent journey on the trans Siberian Express. If you could survive that, you can survive anything. As for losing money... holding options or warrants is extremely risky when GSEC controls price (especially on Fridays). GSEC of course, being Goldman Sachs and SEC, one and the same thanks to the revolving door and possibly a large part of our frustration

As someone with a close family member successfully using Afrezza, it doesn't take much to keep me as an exhuberant pumper. I have no doubt MNKD will survive until Afrezza is a market success, even if each and everyone one of us who believes (including some of the big fund mgrs) keep buying stock. We may have to buy it when it is sold in another "offering". We may have to buy it when the shorts drive it down every other day. Whatever we need to do to keep this a commercial success. While my wallet albeit is down by more than half, I have to believe. I have seen, first hand how well it works. I know Sanofi knows too. They just need to figure out how best to present it. THEY depend upon it for their financial health as much as my husband depends upon it to not only stay alive with me for the next 40 years, but to keep eating ice cream the entire time.

Might be cooler and sexier than any of the ads so far. Paging Dr. Brandicourt, paging Dr. Brandicourt, triple expresso awaiting you along with tens of millions globally who desire the freedom and longevity extensions that Afrezza brings.

Sue What about the argument that we aren't seeing new users on Twitter etc bc the endos are improperly instructing the new patients on use, leading to deficient results and thus low retention? This seems to be happening and is very frustrating. Aside from the fact that endos are locked in the past.
