We need an energetic and internet savvy CEO who knows how to use FB and Twitter these days to communicate with its investors and WS. Al is old fashion guy and I am not sure he even knows how to use a computer. I admire AL as a visionary man but I feel he did a lot of disservice to our small MNKD investors. We need an CEO like TSLA CEO or T-Mobile CEO. APPL CEO would send message to JIM Cramer to ask him to save APPL stock price when Tim saw some danger in its stock price during a WS down day and MNKD CEO would even bother to say a word when its stock price got crushed day after day. These days there are many ways to show your confidence to your company without breaking the law. Now the investing community confidence to MNKD management becomes so low, any good news can become another bad news.

I am curious to how the search is going (interested applicants, interviews, etc..) & when the new CEO will be announced. No leaks or rumors as usual....

Confident and capable would be my preference. You can hire interns for the social media stuff--cost saving measure

He needs to be younger and have a bit of swagger. I don't want a 60 year old. No offense to any of the older bucks around here. A new technology for a new generation!

Why not hire someone out of FDA or CDC that could speak credibly in public? Believe it or not, there are bright, attractive, articulate female scientists out there that would love to get out of a crushing bureaucracy. But, would need also someone strong to negotiate. It's a tall order.

Okay, fine! You want a bright, attractive and strong negotiator with a PhD in Chemical Engineering? Then you may vote for Kristy Hawkins:
Kristy Hakwins was born and raised in Longview, Texas in 1980. In 1994, she started attending Longview High School. In 1998, she graduated from high school and started attending Texas A&M University that same year. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University in 2002, graduating summa cum laude and with University and Foundation Honors. She earned a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) in 2005. She graduated from Caltech in 2008 with a Ph.D. in chemical engineering.
In 1999, Kristy worked as an intern for the Eastman Chemical Company and from 2000 to 2002 she worked again as an intern for the Solutia Inc. From November 2008 to August 8, 2013, she moved to Emeryville, California where she got a job as scientist for metabolic engineering of Saccharomyces cerevisiae at Amyris Inc. Since August 19, 2013, she has working as director of engineering for the company Lygos and now is Co-founder and Scientist at Antheia, based in Palo Alto, California. antheia.bio/
----
Her negotiating skills are an unknown but I imagine, with that physique, Kristy could simply stand behind a chair opposite the BP negotiator and say, "Do we have a deal?" while she casually snaps off the entire top section of the chair off with her bare hands.

It's a tall order. We don't necessarily need a scientist. I would vote for someone who is intellegent, with demonstrated high level management, who has amazing communication skills as well as the ability to negotiate deals with potential technosphere users, ad companies, insurance companies, news media Sanofi and SHAREHOLDERS (especially on conference calls). Duh....and, isn't a given that it could be a "her"! And, once again, s/he must be under 60. With a Board of Trustees as old as ours, it is important for new Afrezza users to feel like they have life and longevity due to Afrezza. Someone with one foot in the grave and one on a banana peel doesn't convey that kind of optimism. (I know...I crossed a line...but then again, I am pretty old too)

The last thing we need is another scientist. Sure it can be a female.

Looks like she is engineering her own chemicals into her body.

This guy would be a good candidate. He at least knows how to build shareholder value!
