I don't think this has been posted yet. "Today, we hear from renowned endocrinologist and type 1 himself Dr. Jeremy Pettus in San Diego, CA, who's just recently decided to start using Afrezza again after a failed first try. Jeremy also works with the beloved Taking Control of Your Diabetes (TCOYD) conference series, and runs the We Are One Diabetes group for PWDs who work professionally in diabetes." www.healthline.com/diabetesmine/afrezza-focus-group-feedback

This helps with the street cred (no, not the stock website) amongst docs and people with diabetes.

Perhaps the Dr spoke with the early Afrezza users.

Kind of scary that a type 1 and an endo under dosed himself on first try then gave up.
It's clear in the instructions that it's not a 1 unit to 1 unit equivalence. I can see a patient doing this but am surprised a specialists did this.

I think this shows the issues we are having. If the Endo/Docs does not know how to dose it they wont make it part of their practices. That is why the meeting was held (IMO) and it made this Endo reevaluate his prospective on Afrezza. We need more of this, a lot more.

Is this endo really world-renowned as the author states? First he looks very, very young and, second, he shoots himself in the foot a few times in his report.

Funny how the teenagers figured out the dosing in a few days all on their own.

Funny how the teenagers figured out the dosing in a few days all on their own. Kids are always tinkering (in other words, messing around ). That's why they are better learners than adults on most things technical (and new). And that is the way of thinking and learning that Nassim Taleb has been advocating.

And they didn't have a doctor telling them what to do, or that they could not increase their dose. What gives with that? We have three choices here. I guess having no preconceived notions helps.

Not that intelligent. You are correct, it was a "duh, how much should I take and when? Oh it didn't work, I quit." I wouldn't go to him for a flu shot he sounds so stupid.

Al has said all along how this would work in should work. But it was not labeled that way.
