Insulet uses the Dexcom sensor so yes, Terry knows Duane well and likely spoke to Al prior to hiring.

I was hoping for someone younger and more dynamic that knew how to use social media to communicate with shareholders. Not somebody coming out of retirement.
He's 63? Heck, in Al's mind, he's a youngster!

Interesting, Maybe he will start acquiring MNKD shares with some of his loose change. Duane DeSisto Executive Compensation As Former President and Chief Executive Officer at INSULET CORP, Duane DeSisto made $8,214,058 in total compensation. Of this total $370,000 was received as a salary, $0 was received as a bonus, $1,006,557 was received in stock options, $5,415,840 was awarded as stock and $1,421,661 came from other types of compensation. This information is according to proxy statements filed for the 2014 fiscal year. Former President and Chief Executive Officer INSULET CORP View local and national averages for salaries $8.2 MILLION $370,000 Base Pay $0 Bonus + Non-EquityIncentive Comp $370,000 Total Cash Comp $5,415,840 Stock Award Value $1,006,557 Option Award Value $6,422,397 Total Equity $1,421,661 Total Other $8,214,058 Total Compensatio www1.salary.com/Duane-DeSisto-Salary-Bonus-Stock-Options-for-INSULET-CORP.htmlWell, he certainly had enough money to take a year off while he was waiting for "something" else, (he left Insulet in Sept, 2014). Apparently he also refused to take positions with other companies during his "retirement". Maybe his position as CEO of MNKD was planned some time ago - like right after he set up the deal with Dexcom.

I'm happy to hear he's 63 years young . One of my dearest friends is 74 (31 years older than myself )she gets smarter every year and still works FT as a consultant for a Biotec company no less . With age comes Wisdom and I'd prefer someone older vs some young guy or gal who still has much to learn , yet think they already know everything . Money doesn't seem to be an issue for him . I hope he chose to come out of retirement because he sees the Vision we Longs do for Mannkind & and has the know how to make it happen . Happy Holidays to all May 2016 Finally be our year to see Mannkind and Afrezza get it's day in the Sun Lynn

Fertility products...mmmm that's a big market too, TS! Although the opposite is an even bigger market (depending on age).

Now lets see if lakers got it right that once the new CEO is announced, we will finally get some nuggets announced
Not sure whether to be worried about timing of this news, or relieved. Damn this stock!

Holding any warrants, kball ?
I have a very simple solution for anyone holding the February warrants.... I've got a ton of those MNKDW warrants for which I paid an average of 50 cents. I've had them for over two years and always intended to convert. As fate would have it, I'm doing even better than the $2.40 exercise price, in that I'm buying the shares for $1.50, give or take a few pennies.
If the price goes above $2.40, great, I'll convert the warrants and increase my position even more. It's all good. I seriously doubt the new CEO would come out of retirement if Sanofi were walking, TI didn't have good prospects, and the company were in serious financial jeopardy.
If you were 63 and had all the money you could possibly need, would you join a sinking ship??? Not bloody likely.

C'mon, guys, it's December 23, can this guy be anyone other than "the Savior?"
Lynn, what's this about your friend is 74 and you're "31" years younger? I didn't know you had dyscalculia (dyslexic with numbers)? Just kidding, Lynn!
Would love to hear some past speech Duane gave, someone has made an allusion to 2014 for Insulet, any links? I looked on Youtube and found nothing.
This is somewhat exciting - maybe not compared to some posters' fantasies, but this is exciting in the real world.
