daduke38 Maybe next time a warning that the author is Kliff would be in order? I feel dirty after clicking on click bait sometimes. The short cabal wins for 2015, with price just where GSCO pinned it many many moons ago. Merry xmas and a better 2016. Let's hope for some fairness within SEC before us po' retail fork begin stocking up on pitchforks and torches. Sanders is the only candidate that really comes clean about GSCO and it's tentacles inside the Fed, etc-- will we see reform in any way next year or will it be time to go private (or swallowed up by bigger fish?)

I apologize! I really should have. Just couldn't believe that a piece of trash would come out on Christmas Eve. And Speaking of, A Merry Christmas to all and a blessed New Years

David Cliff has no credibility to me, he has to provide evidence to support his claims.

Wow! Just checked in after holiday celebrations and saw this post. All I could think is that the shorts never stop spreading FUD! Does anyone wonder how frightened they must be if they feel that they need to spread this sort of stuff on Chistmas Eve? Wait until SNY and MNKD stay strong parters in January! A new CEO who is strong diabetes expert AND a strong partnership? Where, oh where can they spread FUD next?

Wouldn't Kliff live himself pretty exposed to a defamation lawsuit with some of the accusations he makes in the article?
I am just curious about informed opinions on this. Thanks and again, Merry Christmas.

www.massdevice.com/insulet-ceo-desisto-steps-down/Insulet CEO DeSisto steps down SEPTEMBER 16, 2014 BY BRAD PERRIELLO LEAVE A COMMENT Insulet CEO DeSisto steps down Insulet (NSDQ:PODD) said today that longtime CEO Duane DeSisto is stepping down after a 13-year run at the insulin management company. Former Cytyc chairman, president & CEO Patrick Sullivan was named to succeed DeSisto, according to a press release. Billerica, Mass.-based Insulet makes the OmniPod tubeless insulin management system. "I am grateful and deeply honored to have had the opportunity to lead Insulet over the past 13 years. While I am very proud of all that the company has achieved, I am most proud in knowing that the OmniPod has given the freedom and simplicity of tubeless pumping to more than 60,000 people living with diabetes. We have passed many important milestones over the years, and I am delighted that we have been able to attract a proven corporate leader of Pat’s ability to lead Insulet through its next phase of growth and development. On a personal note, I would like to thank the talented Insulet team for all that we achieved together and to wish everyone at Insulet the very best for the future." DeSisto is slated to remain on hand as a consultant through the end of the year to assist with the transition, according to the release. "On behalf of the entire board of directors and everyone at Insulet, we thank Duane for his enormous contribution to the company. Under his leadership, Insulet has built a strong foundation for continued growth, and the results of Duane’s vision and commitment to this business will continue to be a driver of future success. He has earned the respect of his colleagues at Insulet and across the industry as a whole, and we wish him the very best in his future endeavors," lead director Dan Levangie said in a statement. "Patrick is a respected industry veteran with an exceptional track record of growing organizations, driving corporate development and successfully building product and customer pipelines to create value for shareholders. Pat’s insight and experience will be instrumental as the company continues to build on its solid foundation and strong growth prospects. We are excited to add Pat to the team and look forward to his leadership." "I am very excited to be joining Insulet and I look forward to working with the Board and outstanding leadership team to further establish the company as a leader in the management of diabetes," Sullivan added. "Insulet has world-class technology that helps a large and growing population of people live their lives without sacrificing freedom. I am confident that Insulet has a valuable opportunity to continue to work with healthcare providers to improve the lives of the millions of people around the world living with diabetes and to create significant value for our shareholders." Insulet reiterated its revenue guidance, saying it still expects to pull down $73 million to $77 million for the 3rd quarter and $290 million to $300 million for the year. But the company said it would take a charge of $8 million to $10 million during the 3rd quarter and another $3 million charge during the 4th quarter on compensation expense.

As James happen to mention somewhere else in the forum, I have not found, so far, any evidence supporting Kliff's nasty comments. Actually the above is an example of what is out there. No bad blood, seemingly, between DeSisto and the BoD in Insulet. It does look like the company had reached a stage where they needed someone else though.
I am somewhat surprised at the very direct accusations and implications in Kliff's Christmas present, so I will keep looking even though at this point I expect to find nothing to substantiate his writing, in Forbes no less.

What makes you think that? In part this statement, Dan Levangie said in a statement. "Patrick is a respected industry veteran with an exceptional track record of growing organizations, driving corporate development and successfully building product and customer pipelines to create value for shareholders. Pat’s insight and experience will be instrumental as the company continues to build on its solid foundation and strong growth prospects. We are excited to add Pat to the team and look forward to his leadership." In part the fact the Mr. DeSisto had been an effective CEO up until that point, and that he is coming out of retirement to lead Mankind. But yes, it is speculation. It could also very well be that DeSisto had his own reasons to step over and now is excited about the opportunity of leading Mannkind.

Huh? Please explain your theory. What theory? I do not think I am expressing any theory here. This is a link to an excerpt from the PODD DEF 14A from March 31, 2009. The full filling can be found there too.

Re Kliff: What would possibly motivate someone to publish a piece like that on Christmas eve? The evil on Wall Street persists. The attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon were despicable, but fundamentally aimed at the hedonistic, repugnant culture of greed that the US financial world sometimes exemplifies. Kliff's egregious opinion piece is unbecoming of Forbes, who just dropped a notch in my book. I would demand an apology and retraction if I were Al Mann, as in my opinion the company needs to exhibit some mettle once in awhile.
Happy holidays to everyone. Chris C
PS. Both Kliff and Forbes would have more publishing credibility if they understood the distinction between successor and predecessor.

You wrote: "It does look like the company had reached a stage where they needed someone else though." Sure looked like a theory to me. Oh, I see. Well you already had asked me and I already had answered. You can read my answer 3 or 4 post above this one. FWIW, I do not think speculation amounts to theory. It is what it is, based on limited information. When I have a theory I will make sure to point it out as such, so as not to cause any confusion.
