Here's an interesting list. A quick glance shows that Arab countries and people living on small Islands suffer the highest % and African countries the least. When I have more time, I'll have to google to see if there is any interpretation and analysis on this. www.allcountries.org/ranks/diabetes_prevalence_country_ranks.html

From Wikipedia: Nauruans are the most obese people in the world;[98] 97 percent of men and 93 percent of women are overweight or obese.[98] In 2012 the obesity rate was 71.7%.[100]
As a result, Nauru has the world's highest level of type 2 diabetes, with more than 40 per cent of the population affected.[101] Other significant dietary-related problems on Nauru include kidney disease and heart disease.[99]

Maybe we all move to this remote polynesian island to grow fresh vegetables? I take that back. It would only be a matter of time before we are eating spam on Ooodles of Noodles!

Wouldn't it be interesting to get the entire country on Afrezza and see what happens in one year? Think of how marketing the results as part of Sanofi's DTC could raise awareness of Afrezza...

This evening a program on PBS called 'In Defense of Food' explains the reasons people in different countries experience obesity and diabetes. Number one reason: sugar and processed foods. According to the program, 1 in 3 people in the US will develop T2 in their lifetime.
