Many people have egg on their face with Sanofi saying bye bye to Mannkind. Adam and David were right this time. And so much for Sanofi's BRILLIANT MARKETING STRATEGY! LOL.

I was never comfortable with the Sanofi deal from day one. Call it a gut feeling.
With all the cr@p we have taken over the months, am I crazy for actually being happy about this???
New CEO must have known about this. I think we have better days ahead with a real legit partner that actually cares.

They weren't exactly lining up before for whatever reason.

It is now clear why Matt couldn't answer due to the black out period. He knew the deal was going to be terminated! The TASE listing had to have been done knowing that SNY was going to leave. Bottom line is never trust the French.

Can people now admit that Al made a huge mistake in partnering with Sanofi?

Can people now admit that Al made a huge mistake in partnering with Sanofi? We don't know what the strategy was with Viehbacher and maybe Brandicourt squashed it who knows. But yes this again reflects on poor management from Mannkind.

Bottom line is never trust the French. I didn't say I was confident. But I saw the deal with Sanofi was literally going nowhere. It doesn't take a genius to see Afrezza was the redheaded step child and the marketing efforts were a joke.

They weren't exactly lining up before for whatever reason. New partner is not a certainty but with Sam and the gang reporting their Afrezza success, some of the uncertainty has been taken off the table pertaining to how well Afrezza performs. Mannkind also proved they can make Afrezza in volume with yields above what was anticipated and if you have a manufacturing background, you know this is a big deal. A smaller, nimble and more aggressive partner may be just what the doctor ordered. Remember, DeSisto started with Insulet before they had a product to sell and took the Omnipod pump to #2 ahead of J&J. He knows how to win a fight when his back is on the ground with boots on his neck. A tough day but don't count Al out. He did not get to where he is by quitting when things get tough.

I agree but on the other side I wonder if the whole SNY fiasco hurt the bargaining power with a potential new partner. Right now MNKD is not exactly in a position of power and it seems a potential partner might get scared off (depending on what happened behind the scenes with SNY). I don't believe SNY put much effort in selling A but maybe there are reasons behind that. I remember Insulet but I do not remember the financial strength of that company during that time. I don't believe Al would quit but I also would have never believed that what happened this past year would have happened with one of Al's company. GLTU it will be even more interesting from here on out. FWIW I'm holding, at this point it wouldn't make sense for me to sell.
