Wasn't it Lakers who told us a few days ago that the partnership was strong and beyond doubt?
Hmmm...

Another lesson learned that many people crave the attention regardless of what they actually know. Thanks lakers for playing like you were an insider and getting a lot of our hopes up that everything was just fine behind the scenes (me included).

I have never come across one yet who actually knew what they were talking about.

I have never come across one yet who actually knew what they were talking about. This could have been viewed both ways - IMO - however, no one knows what is going on internally. Lakers made his best calls based on the info at hand. And it could have gone either way. Once again IMO. I remain optimistic and view MNKD separating from SNY as a positive - though not in the short term. We'll know much, much more after the call today.

Obviously Lakers post was incorrect - as are 1000's of others. Hindsight is always 20/20. And yes - you could have viewed the partnership as strong or weak depending on your perspective on 12/21. I see this as a positive for MNKD. That's my opinion. The drug is excellent - hopefully the CC today will be also.

We will never know, but I believe many of those accused by 'longs' of being 'shorts' (as I was so accused on one or two occasions) were not, and that many of the loudest and most exuberant of the self-proclaimed 'longs' doing the accusing were in reality shorts themselves.

I think they were longs, but I think they were disconnected with reality in believing that Sanofi actually cared about Afrezza and wanted to make it a success. An analysis of what they devoted to the drug painted a clear picture that they weren't. Needless to say that there are a great many posters here today that are eating crow. I was actually hoping this would occur, you can check my posts. I've expressed my dissatisfaction with Sanofi for some time.
MNKD investors are a different breed. It surpasses simple investing and crosses into emotional attachment. I've found myself guilty of this on occasion, but much of my interest in this stock is a disbelief in how bad things have been handled and frustration and outrage in how much better it should have been done. I don't work in business but even I feel like I could have marketed the product better or communicated with investors and analysts better on many of those awful conference calls.
This very well could be the end, but my optimistic side believes that this could be the start of a new future. We have important data about Afrezza. We have a new CEO. We have information about what NOT to do to make it a success. That can be just as valuable as the opposite. Today's call is very likely the most important conference call the company will ever have. We'll see how it goes.
