Harry, yep pretty much sums it up. Great analogy. Huge fortunes to protect by big pharma. Afrezza not only is ultra-rapid acting and in a class by itself, it also has been shown to significantly reduce the amount of Basil insulin required. Success of Afrezza spells huge market share loss by the bigs. This may end of being the reason we will need a non-diabetic franchise partnership and/or commericial sales and distribution. We shall see in time.

Wwe need to contact her to do a story on Mannkind. She is very good and not beholden to anybody. She seems only beholden and indebted to seeking the truth. One of the few remaining true journalists left. Her story is a chilling tale of what power does to retain its power and includes CBS, the White House, DOJ, computer hacking and how she prevailed with her integrity. For any who have not seen her work at "Full Measure, " I highly recommend. >>Full Measure is a broadcast focusing on investigative, original and accountability reporting unique in today’s media and will be dedicated to pursuing Untouchable Subjects through Fearless Reporting. The host is Sharyl Attkisson, five-time Emmy Award winner and recipient of the Edward R. Murrow award for investigative reporting. She is backed by a team of award winning journalists.<< fullmeasure.news/Suggested topics made be offered at fullmeasurenews@gmail.com I will suggest this story to them. I hope, someday, they do tell the story of how greed ALMOST killed a company and drug that changed the world.

Good find Harry. Reminds me of numerous industries. Very indicative of modern politics, and that's not a political statement.
The video makes me long for the days when people would stand up and do the right thing, not just to protect their own interests and line their pockets. It seems there are more of the latter now than ever before. Welcome to the un-level playing field.
It would be great to find a credible journalist who could do the MNKD story justice. Could be a pipe dream, but you never know.
Let's wait and see what happens- the story of MNKD might just be hitting the good part. New chapter, new opportunities.

Suggestion submitted
Ms. Attkisson:
I greatly admire your history, perseverance, integrity and work. I hope you'll consider the following topic that I feel is right up your "Untouchable Subjects through Fearless Reporting" alley.
It regards the drug Afrezza and the company Mannkind. I believe it is the story of a superior, game-changing drug that is very nearly the fatal victim of greed. Afrezza is an inhaled insulin that is the closest thing to a healthy pancreas available to diabetics. It is described as life changing by users, reduces A1C numbers, and improves general health in a way that no other insulin does. Because it threatens incumbent drug companies and their cash cow drugs, it is being squashed. It appears that Big Pharma has coordinated with their Wall St. partners in an effort to kill the threat. The Mannkind story includes a preeminent inventor & national hero Alfred Mann, Martin Shkreli, FDA CRL's, unprecedented naked, short interest, a never-ending parade of "hit" articles and a company now on life support.
Please give this consideration as it is not only a worthy story but, if Afrezza succeeds, it will have helped potentially millions live a better, more healthy life. Your exposure may help counter the seemingly endless headwind born of greed and corruption and has the potential to be one of the most rewarding stories you may tell.
With Esteem,

"The video makes me long for the days when people would stand up and do the right thing" Not sure there ever really was a time when people stood up and did the right thing. Doing the right thing, sadly, can put that person at great risk. When I left my last job on Wall Street because the company was doing the wrong thing, two reporters from the WSJ wanted to interview me. I initially agreed, but after long consideration, I decided not to talk. I worried about the repercussions to significant others and the risks to me, including the risk of bodily harm. It's been many years since, but I still have regrets that I didn't talk. Truth be told, I've also given a lot of thought to doing a story on MNKD but, again, the possible risks keeps me at bay. The story needs to be told but it will take a lot of effort and a lot of courage.

Here's a scary thought... What if this whole board is part of Astroturf? haha that was my thought too. Another thought I had was that if I was the one who posted this video- instead of Harry- I'd probably be accused of spreading FUD, or at the very least, soft bashing

Not only would it be tragic if the world's diabetics, to say nothing of their families and communities, were cheated of Afrezza, but it would also be criminal. Read about the Norfolk States' Women's Basketball player, Amber Brown, who was found unconscious in her dorm room after team mates and the coach became concerned when this dedicated young woman did not arrive for practice. She is now in critical condition in ICU, comatose, having suffered seizures, two heart attacks, and a brain bleed from diabetic hypoglycemia. wtkr.com/2016/01/07/norfolk-state-womens-basketball-player-hospitalized-in-coma/
