I would have expected a negative reaction to the DeSisto announcement instead MNKD is up ~2% on 4.6mm shares. I guess the market is reading this as an indication that a deal is possibly being struck and that the DeSisto would have cost the new owner more money in severance and full vesting of incentive shares due to change of control.

100+ million shorts... Who else ...atleast my last hope was DeSisto as he could commercialize Afrezza.

If MNKD is sold , at what minimum price would it kill the shorts?

I think the shorts are the least of our concerns now. Meaning, IF they are covering, and that's a big IF, it's because they are thinking buyout. IF that's the case, we are sort of on the same side- meaning. They want the price to go up and make more money. Again, it's all an IF scenario and speculation.
I'm over the "shorts". They have been right for a long time.
Let's see how this thing turns out.

what kills the shorts is the announcement. When that occurs its too late to get out. whether its $5.00 or $6.00 perhaps share they PPS moves up and they are squeezed. Not a very big or dramatic squeeze. But still a squeeze.
