Quote from liane: "Trust me - I think 34 pages of RLS speculation is also nonsense." Read more: mnkd.proboards.com/thread/6300/delisting-news#ixzz4L2s2gbSzLiane, I am sorry but I disagree entirely with your statement. Figured it should now be 35 pages instead of 34. Myself, along with many others, have devoted a lot of time and research into RLS. This thread has generated a significant following. The views speak for itself. Anyways, with that I will say: Gregory Wesner apparently felt the need to join and/or update his facebook a few months ago and post a pic of him enjoying Life (RLS) while out fishing. Things must be going well for Mr. Wesner, Seattle...and RLS? Hey ya'll didn't KK work for DARPA? Has been loyal to MannKind and Mr. Alfred Mann since '04, specifically, the year right after he started working with the Carlyle Group? Get appointed interm chairman of GM because of POTUS? Does Wiki have headlined Chairman of the Board of MannKind Corporation as the first thing you see when you search KK? Think MannKind doesn't have connections? How do you think they got involed with Gregory Wesner, Traci Carman, both whom work with Paul Allen? Let's not mention Castagna from Amgen? Obviously some big players believe in lil ole MannKind? I am still hopefull of MannKind and RLS. A quote of KK for inspiration: "We could just go out of business and give money back to our shareholders or we could reinvent ourselves...It became clear to us we could take the latter path." Sound familiar? Will MannKind become KK's greatest transformation? Who knows, I am just speculating and it's all nonsense anyways.

Since we haven't had anything new here for awhile i'll stir the pot. Traci Carman, the president of RLS's email while employed at EMP museum was tcarman@prezant.com - Not sure what company that correlates to but not all of EMP's executives had EMPLive emails including Traci . Take a look at this link. www.usacorporates.com/us/business/experience-music-project/cw7A9l7FA few of the executives were @prezant.com. Many of the executives have ties to Microsoft in some way.

Sorry but if RLS is not a real venture by now, i.e. bricks and mortar with a decent R&D program - it probably ain't happening. I can believe it was someone's brainchild (some extremely rich but possibly itinerant stoner ex-MS exec in WA) who had a Reese's PB and chocolate moment with TS and THC. A lot of startups stay under the radar because they cannot get traction although they WANT to be prominently IN the radar. Why the secrecy? Why nothing since the original announcement?
Hey RLS! If you ARE real AND expect to ever market a product - you better get off the pot and inject some needed $$$ stimulus into the MNKD story.

Nice find. I don't think it is relevant information anymore though. I am guessing it refers to PREZANT ASSOCIATES INC. There is a court document from 2007 online involving them and the state of Washington over an inspection involving asbestos or something along those lines that I didn't care to read about. Also, www.usaopps.com/government_contractors/contractor-5937990-PREZANT-ASSOCIATES-INC.htm

I am sure when you have worked for DARPA keeping a secret must become second nature. Also, pay close attention to the only description we have of RLS—"Receptor Life Sciences is a pharmaceutical development company that is laying the foundation for groundbreaking new products in the specialty pharmaceutical market." Laying a foundation that is also using Technosphere. Maybe RLS is a consortium? Creating products using technosphere? Maybe some of these will target the endocannabinoid system? Raphael Mechoulam, an organic chemist? Like Andrea Leone-Bay? He is head of Global Research? For a private company? With Ethan Russo? Former advisor for GW Pharma? Ethan Russo lives in Seattle? Gregory Wesner specializes in Cannabis law? Paul Allen? Consortium? Secrecy because of enormous competition? Enourmous money and potential in uncharted waters? Like Gregory Wesner's Facebook picture?

Paul Allen. It's really just a sideshow with respect to Mannkind, though.

RLS may also be developing products that are not based on TS. Seems likely, but we don't know.

I reassert my first MNKD-as-Xfiles episode on this one - the series opener simply titled, "Andrea Leone-Bay" The picture of the redwoods (Xfiles in Vancouver 199x) really works it, too.

www.salk.edu/news-release/cannabinoids-remove-plaque-forming-alzheimers-proteins-from-brain-cells/Salk Institute scientists have found preliminary evidence that tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and other compounds found in marijuana can promote the cellular removal of amyloid beta, a toxic protein associated with Alzheimer’s disease. While these exploratory studies were conducted in neurons grown in the laboratory, they may offer insight into the role of inflammation in Alzheimer’s disease and could provide clues to developing novel therapeutics for the disorder. “Although other studies have offered evidence that cannabinoids might be neuroprotective against the symptoms of Alzheimer’s, we believe our study is the first to demonstrate that cannabinoids affect both inflammation and amyloid beta accumulation in nerve cells,” says Salk Professor David Schubert, the senior author of the paper. Brain cells have switches known as receptors that can be activated by endocannabinoids, a class of lipid molecules made by the body that are used for intercellular signaling in the brain. The psychoactive effects of marijuana are caused by THC, a molecule similar in activity to endocannabinoids that can activate the same receptors. Physical activity results in the production of endocannabinoids and some studies have shown that exercise may slow the progression of Alzheimer’s disease. www.salk.edu/news-release/rusty-gage-receives-allen-distinguished-investigator-award-to-reveal-biology-of-alzheimers-disease/The Salk Institute today announced that Rusty Gage, Salk professor in the Laboratory of Genetics, has been selected as one of five recipients of the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation’s Allen Distinguished Investigator (ADI) program and will be awarded $1.5 million to conduct his research. These researchers have projects aimed at uncovering the elusive biological foundations of Alzheimer’s disease. The projects are funded at a total of $7 million over three years. Through the ADI program, the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation seeks to open new frontiers in science by supporting early-stage research that incorporates novel, creative and ambitious approaches with the potential to reinvent entire fields. The call for proposals in Alzheimer’s research focused on generating insight into the basic biological foundations of Alzheimer’s, with an emphasis on cell biology, and called for multidisciplinary teams that included researchers with a background in Alzheimer’s paired with scientists who bring fresh perspectives from outside the field. www.alleninstitute.org/about/advisors/Brain Science Mindscope Advisory Council Edward M.
