I never did send this idea in to MannKind. Any suggestions on the best way to do this? You can try twitter - @castagna2011

Hey man, excellent posting here!! This is precisely the idea I had imagined over the past year for all those trying to show what Afrezza is all about. But, knowing now what Sanofi actually was doing or not doing for Afrezza, thats all water over the dam..
I know from my own personal sales background how well this could be achieved today, and imagine the response from attendees just watching it happen!!! I just asked Mike C. to check in on this very idea today. Lets see if he has a response in any way. Cant see we didnt try to help them out.
I also have tried to reach out to Dr. Edelman over at TCOYD forum. His program of presentation would really fit well for this very idea that you have presented here today. I know that Afrezza will make it in the real world for diabetics, but, MNKD doesnt have a lot of time or $ now to work with and they need all the help they can get. Hopefully, this new sales org. will get some good hands on training tools to work with.
I believe this is the best help we can offer them today!!
God Bless Afrezza and MNKD!!

How would you convince an endo that walked out of that same room saying "with a sample of 4 people...hell I could even cherry pick patients to produce those results with injected prandial insulin, too!" I am sure you can guess not only endos but certain analysts would be boasting the same time of counter-statements to such a demonstration.
When proposing such an idea, though it may seem obviously impactful, people who have been committed to certain processes and standards for so many years are undeniably going to naturally be skeptics. So to bullet proof it even more, you need to have SOMETHING that removes this doubt. It would have to be something that would produce a similar effect of asking each endo in the room to hand over one of their patients and watch them improve in real-time. Of course, this is unrealistic but you need that type of demonstration to seriously convince them.
My point is if you are going to put on a show make sure the intention is not to "wow" your audience by putting on a show. The intention should be to undeniably prove the superiority of Afrezza compared to traditional and outdated methods. And in my opinion, the demonstration as currently proposed would not convince the skeptics...but its a damn good start!

And in my opinion, the demonstration as currently proposed would not convince the skeptics...but its a damn good start! Maybe you can't reverse decades of dogma in the minds of committed endos, but those aren't the ones that would come to the demonstration in the first place. Even for those with an open mind, it's a bit optimistic that one show-and-tell would turn them into converts. The idea is that having seen the demo, they would consider the possibility that MannKind was on to something good. Back in the office, they might be more receptive if a patient wants to discuss Afrezza, not kick our rep out the door, and not just accept competitor claims that Afrezza is hard to use and no more effective than injected insulin. Each touch increases the odds that a doc will write a prescription. If that patient has success, it increases the odds that the doc will write 10 more. Done well, an ADA event will jump-start the process but it won't win the war on its own. This will be an endo-by-endo fight and it will likely require a different approach to win each one.

shareholder meeting was it, news was Afrezza has a booth. We get to see. A booth hopefully loaded with pictures of 24 glucose monitors of afrezza users. One idea I remember thrown out, *** a table with two diabetes, food and continuous glucose monitors. their continuous glucose monitors connected to a large screen. they start eating, take afrezza a few minutes into the meal, continue to eat the bulk of the meal. Attendants get to watch their continuous glucose monitors in action. perhaps someone on a fast acting analog a third person at the table for a control. throwing it out in the atmosphere. seeing is believing. How could it be against fda guidelines?

In the typical mystery of MannKind they now are listed on the May 23rd ADA convention booth list but without a booth assignment yet....... I really like this as it is another way to have that unknown experience that all of us enjoy with MannKind. Perhaps it will be in another companies booth? or perhaps in a good location. This time I will enjoy where ever the booth position is as I know that we have a Great Team from MannKind headed to New Orleans. Not only the SR management but several of the engineers that I had met last week.

Wasn't there some comment regarding switching to another, bigger ADA booth during the ASM, or am I having delusional fantasies...

Yes there was discussion about getting a bigger booth. So I will be interesting to see where that booth might be. I am sure it will be great for MannKind.
