Update on Artificial Pancreas

Here is an article from this month on the artificial pancreas.  It mentions an inhalable insulin by Mannkind Corporation that is currently being used in a trial.  I thought this trial was supposed to be completed by now?

"Doyle is studying one faster-acting insulin, an inhaled version made by MannKind Corp. that is still in clinical trials. In a preliminary study, a dose of inhaled insulin before a meal combined with an artificial pancreas kept blood glucose from spiking afterward, Doyle says. Faster-acting injected insulins, which may provide the same benefit, are also under development."

A journalist uses words to describe and doesn't always use the right ones to convey or those words have a meaning like "the fda hasn't given approval yet".  That was a great article.  A long read.  A dad trying to save his kid; just as Alfred is trying to do for mankind.  You'll have your answer by middle april.
