Thank you, Al, for sticking around as long as you did. Enjoy your (phased-in) retirement.

Sad day.
3 months ago he was named interim CEO after the Hakan episode. Now this news. Explains why there was no public appearance or even a shareholder letter from him

Yes many thanks and best wishes to Al. Being a non-executive majority shareholder does have it's advantages.

I knew it had to happen one day. It still makes me sad. What an incredible run Mr. Mann has had. I hope his health is OK but I am concerned. Thank you Mr. Mann for your service to humanity and to the diabetic world.

Is this viewed as a positive or a negative?

This was not unexpected given Al's stepping down from EYES a short while ago / his age. First and most importantly, we all owe Al a great debt for all he's done. He took chances and succeeded where the road seemed impossible and the world is a much better place because of the handful of people that are like him. Al still remains my hero regardless of what my investment here does or doesn't do.
As for the rest of us shareholders, I'm all ears for advantages, but I am sure this is going to be spun as Al "turning his back" on MNKD...just like MNKD obtaining financing from someone other than Al was spun as Al "shutting his wallet" to MNKD. Plus the thoughts of Al "bailing us out" with some sort of loan also decrease in probability.

Is this viewed as a positive or a negative? Neutral, IMO. As for the stock market? It doesn't care. The stock is stuck in the mud until possibly April.

Though this event was inevitable, and I doubt it signals anything of real significance, it will be spun negatively. I'm in for the long haul and if the PPS drops, I'll be buying some more.

Any thoughts on if yesterdays drop was leak of this news to insiders and those with better info than us, vs normal action lately between .90-1.00?
