Well this was what it looked like for some few weeks. They appeared with some delay after last financing. I recall that I saw 1.2 m yesterday. I checked this second and there are 783k available right now. What's the margin requirements in IB? TD Ameritrade has this at 100% although they don't share the lending interest 100k worth of shares and 10 or 15k cash

The amount of shares to borrow dropped slowly today from 570k to 510k. At $1.23 400k additional available stock to borrow appeared at IB. Borrow rate still ~40%.

Are there any types of accounts, (brokerage, IRA, etc...) where our shares can be lent out without us knowing about it?

Are there any types of accounts, (brokerage, IRA, etc...) where our shares can be lent out without us knowing about it? Most of them can and do. If you do not read the fine print of the agreements that you sign, you would not know. If you do read the fine print, you'd know the answer. Some approaches to avoiding this are as follows. Use a cash account instead of a margin account. Hold the shares in your name, not street name (broker's name). Transfer the shares to take possession, either physical stock certificates or otherwise. Use an honest broker. (Yes, they may be hard to find. I think that Interactive Brokers is about the best because they strive to create a mostly automated system that is fair and equal to all account holders. In other words, the algorithms are defined, and what they say is how it works. You can join share lending in one of two ways, and it is OFF by default. DM me if you want a referral.) Lawyer up.

IB Borrow rate is at 165% ! they are about to get squeezed, hard I agree. I called my shares before the ASM, not that it matters much, but depends how many others did too. I also think buy-side demand is picking up. I'm debating about starting a buying campaign of my own, but I'm still tight walking the razor. As Mike said, the table is set. The time has come to cry havoc, and let slip the dogs of war...
