Yes it's at Encore, basically the same property (under same roof, connected by short hall with a few shops).

Interesting, I may actually be at the Wynn that day, does anyone know if I'd be able to listen in on this without being invited to the actual conference? I used to go to around eight such conferences a year so I can tell you that practices vary widely. Some are very well protected and if you don't have a badge you are not getting through the door, while others have essentially no security at all. The conferences are always crowded in the early morning and Matt is presenting at 8:00 so you have a good chance especially if you are dressed in a suit and tie and pretend to be having a heated discussion via your cell phone with a colleague in New York.  |

Yes it's at Encore, basically the same property (under same roof, connected by short hall with a few shops). Crazy thing about vegas, even the next hotel over is a ton of walking through mammoth casinos etc. (My best tip for vegas is that Beatles tribute band if theyre still playing there somewhere...also a 3 hour drive to Zion NP and an overnight stay time permitting) |

Crazy thing about vegas, even the next hotel over is a ton of walking through mammoth casinos etc. (My best tip for vegas is that Beatles tribute band if theyre still playing there somewhere...also a 3 hour drive to Zion NP and an overnight stay time permitting) Zion is truly one of the greatest national parks in America, IMHO. BTW, is that sportsrancho in the picture taking a snapshot?

Thanks for the tips. I've been to many conferences at the Wynn/Encore and as Matt said, security practices vary widely. All the people at this one will be dressed in standard dark suit and tie. I probably won't go to such lengths as to dress up, meaning my odds of sneaking in are lessened. Will definitely try the "speaking intensely on my cell phone so don't bother me as i walk into this conference room" trick however...
And i can attest to how awesome Zion NP is, definitely a worthwhile trip. Angels Landing is a cool hike with astounding views, and of course a hike up the Virgin River and The Narrows. Unforgetable!
