wow I am excited about this. Any USA diabetic that wants to try afrezza, will now be helped with physician placement information. They can decide together with an open mind, a titration pack and lab values and follow up. weehaw. Afrezza will be allowed to be documented. With lab values and quality of life assessments.
Mike C is managing to take the decision to the people.
Take that Goldman Sacks, Afrezza will not be a niche market any more. You will be back. Take some soluble fiber.
Thank goodness that Matt found and hired a guy the caliber of Mike Castagna. What a professional. It is great to have a marketing adult running the show (yes, Mike), but I wonder if he scratches his head at the boards' 'OMG brilliant' reaction to almost every Pharmaceutical Marketing 101 tactic MNKD implements. I tend to react with - 'Yes, it is about time, thank you'.

Why no PR or mention on this from MNKD. Can you name any other company that's put out a PR bragging about contracting with a support company? (We're not competent enough to do the job ourselves, so we had to hire an outfit that, unlike ourselves, knows what it's doing). Seems to me that it's a good move, but it should be the support company that does the bragging, not the company that hires it. To me this is bigger then the JDRF collaboration annoucement. Helping patients access it and learn more about it is a key marker to success.

Does anybody have any knowledge of how Asembia has increased sales for drugs that they worked with?

Just got home, been gone all day. Wonderful news! Indeed, it is all starting to come together. I chuckle at how the all the "writers" from the recent SA barrage of basher articles are going to handle this news. Looks like they will have to try and find a new line of attack, or maybe another "job." Our time is coming fellow Longs; just hang in there and add when you can. Aloha.

A bit confused...are you suggesting that anyone should be confused/surprised that MNKD is taking care of pharmaceutical marketing 'blocking and tackling'?

Did any one on this board happen to pick up my message on this board referencing the "diabetic living" magazine (Fall 2016) article on DR. Phil and his struggle with type 2 for 25 yrs. Or that of James Earl Jones in the "American Way" July 2016 issue and his attempted control of type 2.

I think mgt might know these things, but are initially sticking with the marketing plan. It would be nice if somebody at MannKind would contact publishers to correct errors, but as bad as some of the piece are, you almost think they're intentional. As Afrezza demand picks up I wouldn't rule out some daytime TV appearances by Castagna or some Afrezza advocate.

As Afrezza demand picks up I wouldn't rule out some daytime TV appearances by Castagna or some Afrezza advocate. Just checked the Diabetic Living website and found the following: Fast-acting insulins fill a need in both type 1 and type 2 diabetes because the available rapid-acting insulins aren't fast enough to control postmeal blood glucose rise. To this end, MannKind has been trying to get inhalable Afrezza on the market. The FDA, however, has again requested additional studies of this nasal insulin delivered through a fits-in-your-hand inhaler device. It's designed to be taken before meals to lower blood glucose immediately after eating -- a fast start and quick finish hold the promise of reducing hypoglycemia. Afrezza, if approved, would be paired with an injectable long-acting insulin or other long-acting medicine.
Unbelievable. www.diabeticlivingonline.com/medication/oral/new-and-improved-diabetes-medications?page=0%2C4
