Check out the two reports I posted in the Articles folder about funds that increased MNKD positions during 1Q16. I'll repeat the question here: will investors "follow the money"?

promann,
To answer your question, I just posted excerpts and links to two articles from yesterday about funds boosting their MNKD position. I didn't find any articles about funds who are reducing MNKD position but I'm certain that there are funds out there who did during 1Q16.
You can also go to a site like Morningstar. These two screenshots show Buyers vs Sellers (funds updated 06/30/2016):
Funds Buying
Funds Selling

NOTE: WhaleWisdom is another site you might mine some data from.

I'm confused. Some posts in this thread mention that institutional ownership has increased. But the data at the link in the OP shows that active positions have been reduced (29.3 million shares sold versus 15.3 million bought), and sold out positions swamp new ones (13.6 million shares sold versus 3.6 million bought). Clarification please. Did I misread something somewhere?

Its not some money manager saying lets add mnkd because we see value.

Those are all index tracker funds so they are non-discretionary buys - the fund manager must buy them because they form part of an index and not because he thinks they are good value. It's purely mechanical.
