Brilliant strategy to keep costs down... Pay salespeople commission only!
Maybe that's how our cash position will last well into 2017...

One thing I'm not clear on -- are the sales reps on MNKD's payroll or do they actually work for Publicis? Was Publicis just an employment agency used to hire the reps, or is Publicis still working under some kind of staffing contract with MNKD?

You can see a job ad here: touchpointsolutions.jobs/princeton-nj/pharmaceutical-territory-business-manager-princeton-nj/50FCD0F852724321893F47AB48361073/job/The hire reports to both a Touchpoint Regional Field Coordinator and a MannKind Regional Sales Manager. But the ad highlights that "Publicis Touchpoint Solutions offers competitive compensation, a bonus plan, 401-K benefits, comprehensive benefits package, car/travel allowance, and the opportunity to grow with the nation's leader in healthcare sales." So it looks to me like the TBM is technically a paid employee of Publicis Touchpoint Solutions. (But at the same time, I suppose MNKD must be paying Touchpoint for its services.)

That's the way I read it as well. I wonder how motivated they are since it appears that they're really Publicis employees who maybe figure their job is secure no matter what happens to MNKD.

I'd like to hear from one of them.

Their jobs aren't secure if they don't do them. Although not in blockbuster territory, the most recent numbers are the best since May.

Careers with Publicis and its competitors are definitely inferior to pharma sales with the large companies. Most of the employees were former sales people with a large company but who were eliminated in a downsizing due to merger, loss of patent protection, or similar event. There is no shortage of displaced pharma sales people and Publicis hires them when they are needed, and will fire them when no longer needed. For most contract reps it is a place to make some money while they look for a better gig whether in or out of pharma.

They can't be making any money. Well ... once hunger starts to set in, they may try harder.
