The only reason anyone here has told another poster to sell and move on is because that poster in numerous posts has made it clear that they believe wholeheartedly that MNKD is dead money with no future and those posters still continue to cast negativity with post after post. The one question that none of these posters have ever answered is (and they've been given numerous opportunities), if you believe that MNKD is dead in the water with no future, then for what purposes do you continue to post here? Crickets! Until I see a believable answer to that question, I feel no compunction to not tell these posters whatever I believe. And on the flip side to this the posters that continue to post that absolutely nothing is wrong hang onto your shares things are only going to get better need to check themselves as well. I find it comical that the poster who started this thread pleading for everyone to relax at the beginning of the week is nowhere to be found. Share price down 21% since Monday and script numbers posted today were extremely alarming but hey everyone relax nothing to be worried about...... So then, kbrion77, when you see these posts, why don't you ask them the flip side of my question above? For what purposes are they posting? Whenever I see BS postings that are obviously deranged pumping, I put those posters on ignore. That's easy enough. The difference between the pump and dump posters and the FUDsters, is that FUDsters continue to multiply every single day, so I have to keep adding to my ignore pile. That's why I find those posters more obnoxious - they keep proliferating. And because there are so many different handles used by these guys (IP addresses are really cool things), their intentions are fairly obvious. Again, if they believe that MNKD is dead in the water with no future, then for what purposes do they continue to post here? Crickets!

Exactly. Nothing left to lose, so we might as well go down with the ship. So sad, really.

you know these days, the doctors, they only need money, only care about money , money first, patients second ... if they can have an easy solution or and they will not lose their license (because of warning labels, even is not true ) , they don't want to risk anything . It's easy to come to that conclusion when docs move you in and out in 15 minutes, prescription pad in hand while talking. But I doubt it's what the docs want to do but rather what they have to do to exist in the field. I've known two physicians on a personal level over the last 10 years quit their chosen fields due to working conditions (insurance, cost of doing business, etc). We are changing a standard of care... its a new drug that is very different from what docs are used to ... docs are very busy.. many of them work for large corporations now days and have to follow rules.. not just that, but many Americans are sue crazy .. I have one of those people living right next door to me .. if you were a doc you might be protecting your butt too ...
Like it or not our health care system is all about money .. its the way its set up .. In fact you could say that we investors care quite a bit about money too .. isn't that why we invested??
I don't believe that ALL docs only care about money... in fact I believe that most of them Ive ever come in contact with are genuinely trying to do their jobs well.. but Ive noticed that many follow the standard of care closely .. Some are supportive and will try to help... while others are way more conservative ..
As investors in our situation it can get very frustrating... but I don't think its fair to surmise that all docs are bad and only after money .. if I were to lay blame I would point my finger at the entire system ... The system is overburdened with expensive treatments... the costs are getting our of control.. I know that in my household a majority of our budget is health care .. I talked to a friend who told me her entire pay check each month goes for insurance and health bills... its the sad state of our health care system in this country .. Yes someone is making a lot of money .. big pharma included ... large corporate hospitals.. insurance companies etc etc.. I don't believe that the greed problem starts in the doctors office .. JMHO

Neither have any new video or other marketing materials been sent to the FDA for approval. Not a lot of leaning forward on things.

Am i wrong? op op2778 , nylefty did not say that MNKD did not have to submit for a label change, but rather was clearly responding to prolux 's question, "WHEN is that going to happen Mike Castagna ?" The answer to that is that "WHEN" [will the label be changed] is not up to Mike or anybody else at MannKind. It's up to the FDA. Before casting aspersions (or misrepresenting) anyone's statement, I encourage you to read carefully. Reading comprehension can go a long way to fruitful discussions. I agree on so many levels. Our healthcare system, however, is overrun with profit needs rather than the needs of patients. I happen to subscribe to this explanation, for example: www.forbes.com/sites/peterubel/2014/02/12/is-the-profit-motive-ruining-american-healthcare/#2381a218a0ce It's also run by pharmaceutical and device makers and they have their hands in the education process of docs all across the country as described here: www.globalresearch.ca/the-evils-of-big-pharma-exposed/5425382 About half way down the page you can read this paragraph: "To further control the global health system, Big Pharma has largely dictated what’s been taught in medical schools throughout North America, heavily subsidizing them as a means of dictating the conventional dogma that’s standard curriculum down to even the textbooks. Several years ago a revolt at Harvard amongst med students and faculty went public. For a long time now doctors have been educated primarily to treat their patients with drugs, in effect becoming drug pushing, pharmaceutical whores, mere foot soldiers in Big Pharma’s war on health. Starting in the final year of med school, Big Pharma insidiously hones in on young med students, seductively wining and dining prospective physicians, showering them with money in the form of educational handouts, gifts, trips and perks galore to recruit its legions of loyal, thoroughly indoctrinated drug peddlers around the world. Thousands of doctors in the US are on Big Pharma payrolls. Typically early on in their careers physicians are unwittingly co-opted into this corrupt malaise of an irreparable system that’s owned and operated by Big Pharma." And yet when anyone talks about developing a single payer system to centralize and funnel everything through ONE lens to promote efficiency like much of the rest of the industrialized world (with cheaper and better health care results per: thepatientfactor.com/canadian-health-care-information/world-health-organizations-ranking-of-the-worlds-health-systems/), what's the first thing we hear in the USA? SOCIALISM, FASCISTS, COMMUNISTS....etc.... So, yeah, well....I guess we're all just going to be sucked dry in the US in the name of profits and every time anyone tries to do anything about it, we persecute them for being evil. Hillary was crushed trying to push healthcare reforms in the 90's. Obama had a house and senate behind him and the GOP made sure to refuse everything regardless of whether it was good or bad for all of us, going as far as declaring death panels if the ACA was approved (sara's favorite line). What's next? Repeal what obama pressed and go back to what we had and let insurance drop us or refuse coverage just because we get sick? And what about personal responsibilities? You smoke? fine, but YOU pay for your healthcare needs. Eat industrial foods? Fine, but YOU pay for your healthcare needs. Drink alcohol? Don't exercise? Abuse your body? Fine fine fine but why should everyone else pay when you get sick? We have a strange sense of freedom in the US sometimes. We want our freedoms but we also want someone else to pay for it when it goes south.....lol....omg I need a drink

You want socialism, head to Venezuela or Cuba, see how much you like it. If your post was a joke I apologize , if you are just ignorant , I feel sorry for you. What a load of drivel. Canada and Britain's Health care system as well as public health care systems in the northern European Social Democracies are vastly superior to what's in the US in general. That is not to say that they do not have some serious problems like wait times and access for remote communities and especially the aboriginal populations in Canada. The general standards of care are certainly to some extent deteriorating in large measure due to underfunding and the rising expectations of practitioners looking south as an example of making more money. Public health care has been regarded as a right in Canada for a very very long time unlike the US and woe to anyone who suggests scrapping it in favour of privatized health care. This is in part because Canadians in general and the europeans understand that in order to provide the social services and health care taxes are necessary; they're not some conspiracy created by the government to take away one's freedom. Asserting that Canadians come to the US for their health care is nonsense as only the very wealthy can afford to do so. Many of the "studies" that rant and rave about the terrible condition of Canada's health care system do so out of ignorance and or interest in privatizing it. Everyone in Canada already knows the answer to who would benefit; all they have to so is look south for their answer. That is not to say that treatments and practitioners and research in the US is not outstanding in many respects. And by the way there may be many problems in Cuba but literacy and health care are not one of them....just check the rankings.

The fact that a huge majority of Canadians are proud of our healthcare system says something as well.
So, you know, I guess it isn't _so_ bad, at least in the opinion of those taxed in order to fund it.
Fun fact: The Canadian system does not cover prescription medication, leaving it up to employer-based private insurance or provincial medicaid plans.

It's a good thing that all of the posts turned to political issues related to health care. I'm sure it's much more relaxing to everyone instead of discussions about Mnkd. Or maybe not.

I'm still here, just monitoring the posts. I'm still relaxed and comfortable with my position. I am a long and have no problem saying it. No crickets here!
