Sports, I was going to ask this question in my response to Mike M, (because it may tie in with the containment of script counts that he is claiming) but was not sure that you would see it. Did MNKD ever meet with the group of docs that were interested in Afrezza that you had met and kind of orchestrated? I think from Arizona? Thanks I'm not sure what you mean, AZ? You don't mean Rancho Medical where I work right? ( Good News thread ). |

Bringing Yahoo message boards over here awesome. I don't know how many more times it needs to be reiterated that SNY is completely out of the picture, there is nothing going on behind the scenes like Yahoo message boards spewed for years. @kbrion, Others on this board disagreed with the OP, but did so in a civil manner. That's what distinguishes us from the "other" board. You guys do an incredible job here. Can't imagine how exhausting it is to monitor and keep everyone inline. From a personal standpoint I have a hard time standing by threads like this because it was a daily conversation on those boards for a long time. Hearing things like Sanofi bought up 4.9% of shares because they didn't want to disclose 5% and everyone bought into it. Keep up the great work and Happy Holidays. |

The main point is sny is interested in afrezza? Okay. But that doesn't matter if mnkd fails to show it can sell afrezza. Afrezza sales need to pick up. Thank god, a voice of reason! |

Well good luck on this crazy guess too. WE have 10 more trading days to get to 20-30 X from Mikes May 2016 PPS guess which would be $15-20 PPS so where I understand people want to believe, and I'm always a 1/2 full guy and never had said a bad thing about AL or the company.. but what does someone have to say before we think there statements are ridiculous.. we say that about bashers all the time.. why not pumpers. I have been wrong on my guesses as others but none were so out of the realm of likelihood/possiblity.

Mike - hope springs eternal. In May '15 Stefan Schwarz said that they needed to take their approach with afrezza in a different direction. Then they budget in '15 for '16 a $248M partnership payment and formed Onduo. I just checked to see what Stefan is now calling himself on Linkedin. It still says US Afrezza Lead but I did notice that I think he updated his current job from Head Alliance Management Verily to Head Alliance Management Sanofi Verily. I have no idea what this means or why he would make that change. But, what we do know is afrezza is the only thing which works like the pancreas at meals and if Onduo is really doing what they say they are doing I am not sure how they do it without afrezza.

MNKD has kept Afrezza alive but subdued...."on hold" if you will, waiting for all the elements of the end game to be finalized. This sure has disallowed the short raids and empowered those who truly believe in MNKD to acquire on the cheap. I continue to believe that SNY and Google (in their partnership) has Afrezza in their pocket. SNY is going to take a major hit with Lantus generics in 2017 and they have no real winners in their product funnel unlike MNKD. I believe that SNY is supporting MNKD with their "settlement" until all the elements are fully in place which have been plentiful and very challenging. Ever wonder why the new scripts are constantly at the same disappointing level and why no advertising is taking place to get this off dead center? Ever think they might want the pps where it is (stalled) until they make their announcements. Why isn't MNKD concerned about delisting and for that matter....where is their shareholder concern? Do you really believe that all the tech platforms of MNKD are not recognized and their value fully understood by big pharma; do you think they are all brain dead? This has been a very long, trying, exasperating journey but if you continue to perform DD and put the pieces together you can see the end picture. MNKD will indeed have an EPIC story which I thought would have materialized by now but 2017 will be the year. Why is it in Mannkind's interest to keep Afrezza alive but subdued? It cannot be because of Verity as there is no conflict of interest there (data collection and analysis). Is it because Lantus is going to lose market? No because if Sanofi have to they can match price to avoid losing significant share. They are in a much stronger position than the generics since they have established production and are subsidized by the royalty payments the Eli Lilly have to make. They are waiting on all the pieces falling into place - what would those pieces be? I feel you have a theory and I am curious. I don't wonder why there is no advertising to move volume. The answer is a number of factors (a) funds - there is no money for a big advertising campaign, (c) any campaign will drive patients discover that they cannot get Afrezza because of poor insurance cover. As a side note the bigger problem appears to be retention rather than straight up new Rx (although those are not wonderful). The joy of speculation is that you can construct literally anything from the tea leaves. We are in this on our own, Sanofi is not the white knight and nobody is riding to the rescue. At this point all we can do is see if Matt and Mike's bet that we can get momentum before we run out of runway is correct. |

While nothing, and I mean nothing, would surprise me in the MNKD saga. I really think SNY is out of the picture. I thought we'd see Chris Vienbacher re-emerge in someway shape or form.
