Please, no buyout! Who knows how high this could be in six years?

I highly doubt it. Check out the Amgen pipeline; there is no commonality between the two companies. Amgen's ambitions are very different.

My guess is some type of co-promotion deal with dexcom.
Please do not mark my post. Only a guess. 😊

Is there a history of mega-businesses quietly (or not so quietly) 'placing' talent in smaller companies in order to vet them prior to a BP relationship or acquisition?

Where is the buyout PR? They most likely need to address how they will pay back the huge amount of debt which is due mid year. Since Castagna is also presenting, we might hear finally how the TV commercial is coming along (SuperBowl?).

I am on the fence about it being a Deal announcement or resolution of the SharePrice/Delisting. My indecision is based upon public facing posture of the company (hiring and announcements about intentions at last conference) and the reality of what we see on share price.

NO ONE can Deny the AMGEN Connection ...it will be EITHER a partnership or Afrezza Buyout, or MNKD Buy Out ....mark this post and remember my name ...im Kuka Just because a couple of AMGEN employees went to MNKD it does not prove there is any connection between the companies. If a partnership or BO was being announced we wouldn't be at .65 today. That type of information makes it's way out to the investment community prior to the announcement and we'd see an increase in the pps and not a decrease with low volume.

No, I wouldn't, but you assume that everyone applying for a job from another pharma company understands how the financial markets and securities law works. I can guarantee you from personal experience that this is not the case. I have been asked extremely basic questions by senior vice presidents at a Fortune 100 company that would cause many people on this board to roll their eyes in disbelief.
Expertise and prior career success in science, sales, marketing, and many other disciplines does not presume familiarity with finance. Similarly, expertise and prior career success in finance does not presume understanding of science or sales. There are few people I have met in the industry who have a broad base of understanding in multiple fields.
