Not that broadcast hasn't been appropriate prior to this, in markets where there was ample sales coverage...but, now, with 70% of patience with commercial coverage being reachable, and a dedicated sales force coming on-line, it's time to pull the trigger.
Ad Development <$100k without National Spokesperson, <$250k with.
Ad placement - national remnant campaign to targeted demographics or geographies,$1.8M for about 900 million impressions.
I project a ten to twelve-fold increase in script counts by the end of the first 90 days. That's just the start.
It would be a good, dedicated, off-setting use of dilute financing, but even better if it were in play before that becomes a reality.
The foundation is in place; it's time to get out the power tools and build the damn house!

Well said & even if it is only in targeted cities like LA, Bay Area, NY, Chicago, Philly... It has to be done soon!

Could not agree more:
"Afrezza, the inspired insulin!"
or
"I inhaled. Have you?"
or so many other resonant messages that MannKind could use. Not least, PWD's deserve to hear about this life-changing treatment!

Maybe if they finally do tv, instead of the common 'ASK' YOUR DR., we can alter it to 'BEG' YOUR DR.

Anyways its in the works and TV advertisement will be here as soon as possible. Also sponsoring a Diabetic's Reality TV show. What that is going to consist of is a mystery..

I almost wish they hadn't spoken about "reality TV" possibility. I've lived a long time in Los Angeles and know that the path from a concept to reality can be a long and tortuous one in the entertainment biz. They spoke of VDEX long before that became reality. This may well turn into same thing where people are constantly asking about "where is the TV show?" TV projects can get killed at many stages, even once it is in post production. I think I would have held off on saying anything about it until it was a certainty with a known outlet and approximate air date.

Since MNKD and we shareholders are facing dilution and r/s, (after a three plus year beating) Why would'nt MNKD just put together a short but to the point ad to run on television, Nothing elaborate is necessary. Just a simple segment effectively explaining the benefits of AFREZZA, to get people talking about it! Why they have not done that yet is a mystery to me! It does not cost millions! Look at the number of commercials that are on television that are pushing some nickle dime outfit. They can afford it! Two plus years after FDA Approval of the First and only treatment for Diabetes that mimics a healthy human pancreas known to man! Nearly everyone that I talk to about AFREZZA, have 1) Never heard of it, and 2) are interested in finding out more about it! Even after the debacle with Sanofi, We should not be in this bad of a position! It just does not add up!

I like the idea of delivering directly to the patient. Yes, added shipping cost, but cut out distributor and pharmacy cost in the final product. Should make it more attractive to insurers. Also simpler for the patient, and it assures the med gets refilled if on auto-delivery.
