Link from Nate’s February edition (released last night) to a nice 5-min Dr. Edelman video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ih3ZaRjtPOsAlso, check out the website where that video came from: TCOYD.org (Taking Care of Your Diabetes). That video is listed as the top item in a report entitled “One Step for Mannkind and a Huge Inhalation for People with Diabetes”. I don’t know how much traffic this website gets, but this kind of free advertisement cannot hurt. Nate noted in his Feb edition that MNKD is a proxy to measure how Trump is delivering on his campaign promises, as MNKD is a small US-based company competing against 3 much-larger competitors that control the insulin market, and currently have a price-fixing lawsuit against them, and in addition, the relentless (and perhaps illegal) short-selling tactics for several years now (drain the swamp already). No matter how you feel about Trump, ya gotta be rootin for him in the Mannkind category. Also, in Nate’s 2/4/17 Inter-Issue Commentary, Nate said that he is more optimistic now than at any point since MNKD got Afrezza back from Sanofi (10 months ago).

Thank you for the post. Could you please, when you have a chance, post more details from Nate's MNKD writing. I, like many others, appreciate his view even though to date not much has come to fruition, but as long as he is still actively following it and positive about it, it helps us with our marriages and the decision to invest in MNKD and stick with it over the years, even after management fumbled so many times.

Cedafun, Not a whole lot more than what I said.
In the Inter-issue, he reviewed how a Reverse Split is not a bad thing, and he welcomes it, as it will avoid delisting and make it harder for shorters.
Mike's portion of the CC was positive - continued expansion of insurance plans for Afrezza and solid progress in fine-tuning inventory and distribution systems of pharmacies across the country.
Need to raise doctor and patient product awareness: new sales force and TV commercials.
From the February issue, MNKD is up for both an importnat label change and approval for TV commercials, which are currently under review. They would benefit from a streamlined FDA process, which Trump may pursue.
Nate suggested that stockholders vote their shares to give the company the authority to undertake a reverse split.
We are at the point where MNKD will either work or not. If not, we will have to lick our wounds and start unwinding our positions.
He says he is excited about what the next six weeks worth of prescription data might look like, so apparently, he is thinking the sales may begin to increase faster than some here are thinking, and as Mike stated.
As always, he warns to not have more MNKD shares than you can afford to lose, but IF the stock does start to climb in the weeks ahead, you are strongly encouraged to use it as an excuse to buy more rather than take profits.
MNKD remains a strong buy uner $2 and a buy under $5.

Many doctors have NEVER been visited by an Afrezza rep, so it will be interesting to see what happens and how quickly. What I think is that DTC ads would result in an immediate jump in script counts due to patient demand. Has anybody yet to talk to a friend, relative or acquaintance that has even heard of Afrezza?
Clinic visits by our new sales force may result in a jump, too, but I would think that growth would be more modest.

It would be on higher side based on the new reps relations with docs from their previous job.

I have not yet found 1 person who has heard of Afrezza or Mannkind (with many attempts at inquiries). I totally agree with your thinking, MN, about DTC helping demand. Hopefully, DTC, Doctor Visits from the new sales force, Clinics, etc., all that advertisement and word of mouth hitting at around the same time will be enough to stir the pot and get sales going. I still truly believe that Mike knows what he is doing, and has everything under control. Very exciting times.

My kids are tired of hearing me talk about AFREZZA and MNKD! I keep telling them that it's going to make it! AFREZZA will one day, become a household name! Please, Mike and Matt, don't make a liar out of me! I personally, am ready for an "epic" turnaround followed by an "embarrassment of riches" GLTA TRUE LONGS!

Who cares! Reverselo, it's not that nobody understands. We all know MNKD's history. The people on this board thrive on it. Enough fingers have been pointed on this board. Enough blame has been hurled on this board. Sanofi was responsible for earlier marketing. A temp sales dept has done a few months of sales market testing (my words) Now, we finally have our own sales team. They will be required to market as efficiently as possible with their limited funds, and we are counting on their competency. MNKD is moving forward now. You can live in the past and cast blame if you want, but I think you will find a more receptive crowd for finger-pointing at Yahoo. I think most people here want to focus on the future. The table is set. These are very exciting times.

I also am excited for finally having Afrezza's opportunity for results in the future.

... These are very exciting times. MNKD has been so exciting for so many years that my nerves are frayed to the point of needing Xanax washed down with a martini.
