Correct, FDA is currently reviewing the ad MNKD plans on running. I believe, final approval will depend on the new label. I am biting. The new label due August/Sept.
It seems to me the FDA could speed that up.
Any insight?

I think the ads and the label improvement are not tied together, at least not at this moment. If I remember correctly, based on the timeline discussed at the previous conference calls, Mannkind expects to have the ads cleared by FDA sometime in the second quarter 2017 while the label improvement decision is expected to be sometime in the third quarter 2017. If the ads and the label improvement are tied together, since FDA is not expected to make a decision on label improvement until third quarter, then they will not be able to clear the ads until third quarter. I do not think Mannkind wants to wait for the release of ads until third quarter.

Mannkind does not need to run ads by fda nor do they need approval by fda to begin advertising. Forget the fda run the ads management should know what they can or can't say. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is responsible for regulating OTC drug ads. The FDA regulates advertising only for prescription drugs. We also oversee the advertising for certain kinds of medical devices, such as hearing aids, the lasers used in LASIK procedures, and contact lenses.

I've said this before and i'll say it again. Mannkind has absolutely no awareness of Afrezza in the general public. Now is the time for an ad campaign that has REACH to a large audience and is IMPACTFUL. Do they need ideas? What is the marketing team doing all day? I know some of the team reads proboards so i'll just post this suggestion here. Here's one - take over the youtube masthead for a day. Over 4 billion videos are viewed every day. Over 800 million unique users visit YouTube each month. IF you went to youtube saw the below you may inquire what the hell is outsulin? you would now be aware of Afrezza.

The point i am making is beyond the masthead though. Where are the impactful ideas that are needed to truly LAUNCH a new product? What are they doing to break through the daily clutter and get the word out that Afrezza exists? TIme is ticking, these things need to be done NOW.
