I have 6 figures of gripe.
But I think MKND is well aware the price is down and has destroyed retail. Writing them won't make them know it more and change what they are doing.
I think the approach taken by Sports and some others here have been the most constructive of all: Trying to do something about it. That's what I call true doubling-down.
I also applaud Sports for actual effort!! I have also written to Mannkind and posted here/Twitter/Facebook numerous times that Afrezza price is their ONLY lever.
We have a disruptive drug that is not selling. The traditional approach is not working. Why? What are the barriers? Big picture - at this point it doesn't matter.
In my mind they need to try a very DISRUPTIVE APPROACH to getting Afrezza TRx off the ground. Maybe like selling TESLA's?
Please tell me if someone has better ideas. Does anyone STILL BELIEVE the traditional approach is going to work? Our investment is nearly gone.
I posted this diatribe in the thread Symphony Script Numbers:
I think they should sell it for $25/month. Period. No discount cards, etc. No insurance or PA's.
Advertise that they are cutting out the middlemen and supporting US diabetics with cheap, PAIN-FREE insulin. (PAIN here meaning all hoops & hurdles, not just needles).
$180K per week is not going to matter in 6 months and I don't think that amount of "revenues" correlates to enterprise value in the near term (6m - 1y).
At this rate, the company will be gone in 6 months. Our shares will be worthless. I am not trying to be dramatic - just realistic.
But if they had 5000 TRx per week in 3 months and 10,000 TRx in 6 months there might be a chance for survival.
A 10X uptick in TRx would pump the SP and allow for more effective dilution in 6 months.
Selling at below cost is a time honored way to create a monopoly in a market.
What if every diabetic who needs prandial insulin found out they could buy it cheaper than any other prandial insulin (i.e. for the price of a monthly copay)?
I have not heard any other ideas that are going to save this company (and my investment). Hello anyone at Mannkind? IT'S NOT WORKING.
