4Q16 ER is purposely on Thurs 3/16 after mkt close which will mark 10 consecutive trading days that Mnkd Pps is above $1 thereby preventing delisting. This will allow Matt to positively earn some grace from investors, then update new devs from a "position of strength". This prevents potential partners from low balling ....

position of strength , potential partners .. to earn grace, increase in sales should be enough..nothing else is needed.

If hitting new all time share price lows and on track to run out of money is MNKD version of "position of strength," we should all be very worried. Hopefully that term does not show up again in management statements. To most sane ears it comes off as either disingenuous or out of touch.

You think shareholders are going to congratulate Matt on a job well done for a R/S that ended up eroding yet another 25% of the PPS, after he himself stated that the R/S wasn't something they were actively considering only two months prior, then trying to sell it as a positive development? Really? He should be apologizing, not expecting a pat on the back. There is no "position of strength" and any effort to sell it as such will only further destroy the claimant's credibility, what little of it remains for both Matt or anyone on this board trying to do the same. Look at the anemic script numbers every week and tell me that's strength. Please....

He could take the company into Chapter 11 and I honestly think we would get comments along these lines that Matt is making the best of the situation, etc. He will certainly not earn grace from me until he makes significant positive developments that INCREASE SHAREHOLDER VALUE.

Doesnt really matter what they say unless they have something substantial to announce. Like I said here mnkd.proboards.com/thread/7394/today-pps?page=6 (third post down) the bar has been set so low that management can do or say almost nothing or very little and some people here will be tripping over themselves to applaud.

I copied the following from a post of Brenti's in another thread: === Here's Matt at the JP Morgan Conference. "The other big component I think is going to be in the direct-to-consumer area. So we are going to be doing more aggressive consumer advertising, including television, which everybody is surprised, we have a commercial into production even as we speak. It will probably be awhile before we get it to the FDA and on the air. And even then, don’t look for it on your next Super Bowl. It’s going to be more targeted in a few markets and we want to see before we invest really huge amounts of money that it actually has the effect, we expect it will and some target marketing things. So it’s going to be kind of piloted out. We also have a TV series we are sponsoring later in the year. We are still negotiating some of the aspects of that, but we hope we will hopefully more details to announce for essentially reality TV show based on diabetes that we will sponsor and I think Afrezza will be – I hope we will be figuring prominently in that." seekingalpha.com/article/4036493-mannkinds-mnkd-ceo-matt-pfeffer-presents-jpmorgan-healthcare-conference-transcript Read more: mnkd.proboards.com/thread/2679/symphony-script-data#ixzz4axQga9X9=== ... Before we invest really huge amounts of money ... So ... where do you all suppose Mike is thinking of getting those really huge amounts of money from, anyway? Such nonchalance leaves us scratching our heads. It would be really nice if he told us that answer next Thursday ... along with a really good explanation for the absence of sales traction and a really convincing Sales Plan and a viable Financial Survival Plan. Last CC, they provided good news, but it was very Short-Term. We need some good Long-Term plans this time. I always presume that M&M withhold that information for competitive reasons, but we are getting down to the wire now, so it will be really difficult for them to talk positively without revealing some of their secrets. Stay tuned ... til Thursday.

You are parsing and seeing rainbows between the lines. MNKD doesn't have some magical wand to wave. If there were anything that they could have revealed that is positive it would be malfeasance that they didn't in order to avoid the need to do a RS. Undoubtedly they are exploring every opportunity they possibly can. But even if they could reveal all of those, that easily could be counterproductive because a MAJORITY of business opportunities, especially for a company in such a weak position, do not come to fruition.

The expectation has been set that Matt will discuss sales revenue targets on the CC. I do wonder if this will have to be walked back. It seems hard to believe that there would be any way to predict a growth trajectory that has not even begun. If there is any estimates given it would certainly beg the question as to how they came up with it.

So its hardly a projection and will be close to real sales if they do project?

Perhaps I am mistaken, but I think they have said they would be making longer term projections for sales GROWTH over coming quarters. I could make projections myself for Q1 since we have the script numbers.

No "may", they do use estimation techniques.
