Posting this in case some of you haven't seen this yet, and also because I hate when it's so quiet here. Gomnkd posted the FDA and Mannkind presos from the Adcom on his blog: afresa.blogspot.com

Thanks, hans, we're clearly in a "dead" period for this stock right now. We have been left vulnerable to attack due to no partnership and biotech weakness in general, but not weak enough, so far anyway, to be ripped down significantly.
It's just a quiet, waiting period, until the AGM, partnership news, and FDA decision. If all you're invested in is MNKD, it's a boring time, but fortunately for me, I have an iron or two in other fires that are exciting now, and making up for many other biotech holdings that have been decimated.

Any chance you'd share any of those irons, Baba? I've been mentally "all in" MNKD for quite some time. I'd welcome the opportunity to perform some DD on another stock. Might help me to maintain some sanity until July 15.

Common Baba... give out your secret.... :-) would appreciate if you can share which other companies are on your radar. We have to kill three months. Need some excitement and DD work!

Gosh, I think I shared one of them a while back, Poet Technologies (POETF in US, PTK.V in Canada), and it's doing great. You can check that out on Agoracom, which has an active bunch of posters, and when you see what the stock has done, you'll see why they are so active. I am an infrequent poster there, as I know quite literally next to nothing about semiconductors, but this company has been working on and is apparently getting close to perfecting a chip made not from Silicon, but from GaAs (Galium arsenide, sp?), which material others have used, but this is supposed to be the super duper new chip to completely change the paradigm. That stock has been keeping Baba's boat afloat while other of his fine picks like SGMO, ACAD, NWBO and a few others have been hit pretty darn hard. ONCY, which used to be my co-favorite stock along with MNKD, has, to be frank, sucked for many months, as has IMUC. Clearly, now, my favorite two are MNKD and POET, but I still think ONCY has a chance to make it in the long run. Another nice loser lately has been NFLX, which I am totally out of phase with, having been crushed as it went up, and now hurt as it comes down! So, my percentage is not very good, but MNKD and POET both have been good for me so far this year.
Now, with POET, on Agoragom, the posters with lots of knowledge are fairchij, oogee, robvonhoven and andrea, perhaps in that order. The board has become over hubretic (not a real word), which I hate, but I still mainly lurk. They have had some substantial dealings with BAE, which gives them decent credibility in my book. Their chief scientist and the "genius" (I hope and pray) behind them is a guy named Geoff Taylor, and although they are Canadian, Taylor hangs out in Storr Connecticut, at the UCONN, and UCONN actually has a cut of the action. Taylor is scheduled to give a talk at the Empire Club in Toronto on April 28, who knows what a geeky type college professor and genius comes off like, but the CEO will be there, too. The Empire Club is a big noise in Canada, however, a director of it is some guy from IBK, who handled some financing for POET last year, so you need to weigh that in. Members of the Agoracom board are treating this event as God giving the 10 commandments to Moses, but my experience has been the more an event is anticipated, the worse the result of the event. But, as you all know, that's just the way I'm wired. Although one would think the stock is overdue for a major correction, it just keeps on truckin'. While I've also learned that when small time investors (people like us) get really excited on a message board, the stock is due for a disappointment, and that holds true a major percentage of the time, it does not seem to be happening with POET (yet). And it should have happened already, believe me. A couple of reasons why it hasn't might include the fact the market cap was pretty modest as recently as a couple of months ago, and that hardly anyone knew of this stock. It's getting known now, on an accelerated basis. The thought is that when the fat cat audience at the Empire Club here about this, it will further goose the share price. I figure I might lighten up a bit on the morning of the day after the talk, as it might cause temporary excitement. The weird difference here from normal presentations, is that with normal presentations, although we might dream about it, we really do know nothing new will be said, that's done by NR, and certainly expanded upon at a presentation, assuming the NR is very recent. What Doc Taylor will say will certainly be new to Empire Club attendees, but not to the market, the difference being that the exposure to the company and its technology to supposedly powerful individuals (as opposed to a room full of AF types), might be the key to further gains.
Crapshoot there!! But, then again, so is MNKD.

Awesome! Thanks Baba. Very intriguing stuff. Doing some DD on these will definitely help me pass some time until the FDA decision.
