No advertising = no diabetes patient awareness or demand for our game changing product. No awareness and no demand for AFREZZA (due to lack of advertising) = no sales. No sales = no cash and we soon burn remaining funds and go bankrupt.
It's pretty sad that we can't make the simple choice to advertise our product. How hard is it?! We've pissed away hundreds of millions, indeed well over a Billion dollars; and not a nickle for advertising so the product can succeed?! WTF!
And I don't mean a single print ad in the Buffalo Bills football program, or a single ad in some cooking magazine. For God's sake lets raise peoples awareness so they want to buy the damn drug!

Did you even read the transcripts from the last two conference calls? Besides hiring Jay for digital marketing, they have taped the Afrezza TV commercial(s) for review by the FDA and have scheduled them to be aired in targeted markets during the first half of 2017. WooHoo!

Too little, too late. By the time they finally get around to running the first ad will we already have gone bankrupt? Time is NOT on our side. We need the ads today, or six months ago, not several months in the future.

Fingers crossed they will have something concrete to say about this at Monday's presentation.

I was excited about the Mike Castagna hire, he seemed to have a clue and say all the right things. But it's hard to see him right now as anything other than a huge disappointment. AFREZZA sales remain unimaginably poor. Basically as close to zero as you can possibly get and still say you rolled out a nationwide sales force calling on Dr's in major metros all over the US. It's hard to put into words what a miserably poor job the sales team has done. Without significant ads we are 100% finished.

Besides hiring Jay for digital marketing, they have taped the Afrezza TV commercial(s) for review by the FDA and have scheduled them to be aired in targeted markets during the first half of 2017. From the conference call transcripts: November 2016: "[W]e expect to kickoff commercials in the first half of 2017. We will share with you additional detail on this on our Q4 earnings call if not sooner." seekingalpha.com/article/4021887-mannkinds-mnkd-ceo-matthew-pfeffer-q3-2016-results-earnings-call-transcript?part=singleJanuary 2017: "We are going to be doing more aggressive consumer advertising, including television, which everybody is surprised [at], we have a commercial into production even as we speak. It will probably be awhile before we get it to the FDA and on the air. And even then, don’t look for it on your next Super Bowl. It’s going to be more targeted in a few markets and we want to see before we invest really huge amounts of money that it actually has the effect, we expect it will and some target marketing things. So it’s going to be kind of piloted out." seekingalpha.com/article/4036493-mannkinds-mnkd-ceo-matt-pfeffer-presents-jpmorgan-healthcare-conference-transcript?part=singleBy now they might have the commercial done, but as of the last call it was only in production. And it would be "awhile" before they got it to the FDA for approval. Notice they made no mention of an air-date in the second call above, suggesting they might have pushed it down the road a bit from what they'd hoped. Of course, I expect they will provide an update in the upcoming conference call.

I was on your same page, until I realized the endo's just say no. They seem to be into Nancy Reagan.

First quarter ends March 31st, so obviously no rush.
It's no like we could have benefited from increased scripts earlier...
My prediction, something pops up on April 1st. We wouldn't want to mess up their purfect record of not delivering.
Nancy Reagan that died one year ago? I'm not sure what the reference is... but I'm going to assume it wasn't good.

Many of us have been screaming for meaningful advertising for a loooong time now. Patient demand is what is needed to drive the endo's into prescribing - IMO Sales without advertising/marketing is a tough sled. I'm sure Mike is chomping at the bit for them to get rolling. Bottom line is now I need 10.00 pps to break even. Awesome Sauce !!!!

www.fiercepharma.com/marketing/new-brands-stepped-up-spending-drive-big-tv-ad-outlay-for-diabetes-2015I agree with everyone who says "Where is the advertising???" Every PWD I have ever talked to has never heard of Afrezza. The above link sheds light on how much is typically spent to bring a diabetes drug to market. It shows said costs for 2014 and 2015. And it just keeps getting more expensive as evidenced by 2016 costs being substantially more! Matt and Mike have never had these kind of funds available to launch a nationwide marketing campaign unless they were willing to blow their whole wad and hope it does the trick. They unfortunately have been forced to take a very targeted approach with their DTC ads which means many of us and even PWD have not seen them. But I believe we are closing in on some ads that we will start seeing and hope they are very effective and not too late! We should hear some news about upcoming ads and their 3.0 strategy this earnings call. At least I hope!! Goodluck to all the Longs that have waited so long!!!

Theoretically, that might even be achievable with the dilution that is coming. For many of us the chance of being whole is likely a distant memory.
