The sell off wasn't as big as feared and they did come through with positive news to counteract the r/s.
Now if they can follow it up with a few more positive news releases between now and next weeks call. I will give them the benefit of doubt till the end of the year.

The conference call? All I know is that this call better have some meat to it - that drives the PPS upward for a damn change. JMHO

Ah - Just saw it - The Discovery Life with Charles Mattocks. Better than nothing - Now let's get the scripts over 300 for once!

It's down 25%, that looks pretty bad to me. I (and the market it would seem) missed the positive news.

FWIW, I anticipated a possible low ~$1.50 ( $0.30 pre RS ), so I agree that the immediate market reaction was not as bad as at least I expected it could be. We're not out of the woods, but each day that we remain near $2 is a good thing for now.

JMHO Serious question: when's the last time a conference call had "some meat on it that drives the PPS upward"? I'm sure it's happened but i can't remember the last time. It seems our conference calls are usually precursors to PPS getting beaten up. Can't see any reason to expect differently this time, sure hope I'm wrong.

Q3 results call was very positive...People have a short term memory. There were people on this board claiming Mannkind was going to announce bankruptcy on/before the Q3 results call and instead we got substantial news about improvement of financial position.

True madog, that was a good call and not too long ago. We got a nice PPS bump from that (though we gave back the gains by the end of that month) if I recall. Thanks for correcting me. Trying to stay optimistic as the situation feels like a baseball game getting into later innings and needing more and more runs to pull this one out.

The November 2016 CC was awesome. We need another like that this month & script counts to begin a decent climb North. That would be tonic for most here, including me. Aloha.

It was good in the sense that it cleaned up the books a bit due to the settlement, but there wasn't much to it in terms of moving the company any closer to selling Afrezza. Here we are three months later and scripts are at the same place once again. It was terrible in the sense that Matt also stuck his foot in his mouth yet again in stating that a R/S wasn't on the table at the moment, that he thought the settlement would handle the delisting issue, etc....and here we are three months later with a 5-1 R/S and a 25% drop in PPS and a CEO that had to eat crow because of his misguided beliefs. MNKD hasn't had a truly good conference call in years that has actually moved the stock upwards and kept it there.

MNKD hasn't had a truly good conference call in years that has actually moved the stock upwards and kept it there. Still one of the more perplexing items I've heard from the company. He actually said something along the lines of the settlement would help resolve some of the issue. In the same call Mike C explains how they are transitioning from contract to in house sales and wont be hiring until the 1st because it wouldnt be effective to have new hires during the holiday season. He telegraphed sales would be at a standstill at best.
The settlement only got them a partial fix. Sales would be flat. Where was the 3rd leg to the stool?
I understand this isnt an easy lift, but unless they have an ex-US deal or an epi deal close to completion Matt lost credibility.

This may have been a literal statement....as in Matt simply moved the documents to a chair from the table when he said it
