not only will Walgreens be there as a sponsor, but so will CBS Channel 2: So as someone just recently posted as a request, maybe he will get to pitch us for 60 Minutes... OK enough optimism for now.

Is this doctor speaking out of the goodness of his heart? Maybe he is the highest prescribing doc at 8 a week?

www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-mannkind-drug-20150603-story.htmlDr. Alan Marcus, a diabetes doctor in Laguna Hills, said he has followed the drug's development for more than a decade. In three months, he's already prescribed the drug to about 30 patients. "They love it," he said. "It allows them to control their glucose ... in a manner that doesn't stigmatize. If you're out at a restaurant, the last thing you want to do is go to the bathroom for an injection or stick a needle through your clothing." But unless something is done to make it easier to get the drug into patients' hands, doctors will probably be reluctant to prescribe it, Marcus said. "It's not an easy prescription," he said. "They have to go through testing. Then you have to take a moment to demonstrate it. Then you have to deal with the insurance companies. Then you have to deal with the pharmacists, because most of the pharmacies don't have it in stock. This is a process that takes a lot of time, it takes a lot of effort."

Effort > results
When a doctor doesn't care to put forth the time and effort to help improve a patient's disease, does this also influence the patient's mindset?
Endocrinologist says they love it but it takes time and effort.
The world isn't gonna end tomorrow (I don't think) so we have all the time we need. Putting forth the effort to ensure long term happiness for patients should never be an excuse for not putting in the time to see it happen. Endocrinologists that have been continuously prescribing the same diabetes drugs by the same diabetes companies for decades—just camouflaged under new names/uses—that produce the same pathetic outcomes and long term diabetes related complications, need a butt whooping in the meaning of health and care.

I am unable to attend but will recommend to several diabetics. If they attend, I will provide feedback.
