Wow. I have a doctoral degree in a health-related field and I have never researched anything more in my life than the prospects for Afrezza and other future inhalable Technosphere drugs. I am amazed at how badly I missed. While I will recover financially eventually; I will never recover psychologically.

I am starting to think medicine doesn't want the closest thing to a cure for diabetes. I wonder what it is medicine wants? hmmmm.
If medicine doesn't want the closest thing to a cure for diabetes, what does medicine want to do about cancer? hmm

Maybe a degree in psychology, sociology or political science would have been better preparation for this? Not sure if a degree in economics would have helped though....since economics is just a subset aggregating the worst behavioral traits revealed by the other disciplines.

You and me both. I invested in this loser because I believed that the Science would triumph. How foolish of me.

Unfortunately the best technology does not always win the race. Prime example was VHS vs. Betamax. I've read many opinions that Betamax was far superior but VHS won out in the marketplace.
Financial backing, advertising, pricing, usability (titration) and insurance coverage have all had a big effect on Afrezza's marketplace success to date.
The biggest question in my mind is how can we be almost 3 years into marketing the product and there still seems to be a lot of confusion on the part of doctors and patients on how to use the drug effectively to get the best results.

What NY Lefty said "It ain't over till it's over" - I'm way down also but we still have a pulse.

We're not 3 years into ANY TYPE of real marketing boca1girl - We're only recently seeing any type of marketing and the heavy hitting stuff is on the way.

So, the contrarian view now would be ... I've been loading up this week. AND, I still have several Beta and VHS machines in their original boxes. Ha!

This is why I look at other countries that have a different dynamic between healthcare systems and pharma industry. Problem is, Afrezza requires money to buy. And when/where there's money, generally individual humans just want more of it.

You are in good company with the late Al Mann leading the charge. Look at Dexcom in 2011 and their pps. MNKD has significantly more long-term potential. The short term issue is cash which is a huge issue but will be dealt with. There is nothing better in any BPs pipeline better than afrezza for diabetes treatment and there never will be. There is no way to take a monomer insulin pill which would have the same PK. No analog can do what afrezza does. All T2s should be put on afrezza by their PCP as soon as possible. Stefan Schwarz targeting the PCP T2 market is spot on. You hear all the label talk based on the 171/175 studies and yes they need to have the words "afrezza provide superior time in range than any other diabetic treatment." Rumor is Ray says this will come, lets hope he is right. I just have a feeling you may just recover more than you think.

ITs not half even half time yet. Losing big but hopefully there's no slaughter rule like in little league.

I'm not an idiot, but this investment has sure made me feel that way. Hopefully bankruptcy can be avoided so that we might recover some portion of what was invested.

If bankruptcy is avoided ... then you will not have to worry about recovering your investment. You will have to worry about when you want to sell. OR, which of your family will be put in the will to receive shares. This stock is a keeper. ?? Maybe another worry will be where to travel next to use all those stock dividends ...
