Just sitting here shaking my head wondering if they are intentionally letting this thing slide.
Wondering if there is a plan for this thing to be taken private?

What a boatload of crap is all I can say. And silence from management.

With such intense and sustained short selling, there just doesn't appear to be a bottom on this stock. Very depressing.

pre-split, we were trading at .50 , so around 2.50$ , in one month and half , we are trading less than .195 , or .98 , amazing
Looks like Deearfield wants to get back their money no matter what (with a small loss for them anyway)

I'll go off. The story has been so spun. Anyone that thinks that afrezza dosing is difficult to learn doesn't remember that learning subq is more difficult and more difficult to manage. The physicians have to learn a new insulin and a new dosing routine, with an insulin that works differently. This insulin stops glucose from going high on the first place. The stuff they are peddling is chit compared to the blood glucose control of afrezza. Afrezza is a natural as we can get non-natural human insulin to be.
That physician on the CBS segment that Sports said, "that was awful" he could recite the warning and more, although he had no clue as to afrezza's advantage. His patients either have to have their glucose go high and be brought down, or they have to do some mathematic calculations and predose and eat on time to cover. These physicians are acting like they can not see the continuous glucose monitors. They are in a system of medicine with pharmacy managers that get to decide insulin. This same group of people have allowed every piece of chit pill, that big pharma can come up with a study for to be put on the standards of care.
(Like a fire cracker)

I can't believe it , why mannkind management didn't do the deal with Deerfield when the price was .50 pre-split (2.50$) ?

VOTE AGAINST THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS! This will do no good but will show the bastards we are not happy with their performance as professionals...a word I use lightly in this case!

I can't believe it , why mannkind management didn't do the deal with Deerfield when the price was .50 pre-split (2.50$) ? Probably because Deerfield would not do the deal pre-split. Deerfield knew that Mannkind had to do a R/S to retain listing, and that when they did that the price would drop. So why take fewer share when you could short the stock, make money on the drop, and have Mannkind give you the shares to cover your short position? By hedging like that Deerfield locked in the pre-split price regardless of what subsequently happened to the share price, and got free extra shares. In this case the Mannkind management had no choice - it wasn't a bad decision.

With such intense and sustained short selling, there just doesn't appear to be a bottom on this stock. Very depressing. Agreed central - The unceasing short onslaught of MNKD for the past 3+ years (my timeframe for being invested in MNKD) and the impact it is having on the Co is depressing indeed.

But, But, but . . . "this is from a position of strength." One question I had was, why they didn't they split the stock to be over $5.00 a share? Would the outcome have been the same? We'll never know.

My understanding was that the BOD wanted the 5-1 split and Matt want to wait and then do a 10-1.
