It's best when there's an offensive statement to just use the "Report Post" button (gear icon, drop down). This guy posted the same thing in ~ 4 separate threads and was quoted several times. Makes it much harder for us to clean up. Numerous rules were broken, but I think it's all been taken care of now.

sla4235 & liane, in the interest of fairness, how do you know this was a "guy"? Women have been discriminated against for a very long time and have thankfully made great strides. There is a also occasionally a bias against men. Let's all be conscious of the potential for discrimination.

sla55 - it's been taken care of. Wow! I feel much better. I made a comment and statement that was off-base about a fellow member Peppy as it was buried in her quoted statement. Thank you liane for correcting and removing The offensive statement You did? I have strong opinions and have been wrong for two years now. Fire away.
I still think Afrezza is a fine insulin. "Afrezza, keeps your blood glucose in range."

One point which Dr Castagna made recently on twitter was I think interesting and I admit not to having considered it before, foolishly. In reply to a tweet from someone he said to the effect that things look different when you can see the actual numbers of cartridges being sold, not just scripts. This is an interesting point: if the current prescriptions are for larger standard packs of cartridges than were supplied by Sanofi (and I think they are, or am I recalling wrongly?) then one would really want to see an adjusted graph which plots the Sanofi (and immediately post Sanofi) scripts and then plots adjusted figures for the Mannkind scripts to reflect the actual quantity of product sold so as to compare like with like. Does anyone have a view or analysis on that basis? Presumably the Weekly Sales in $ reflects this ('actual quantity of product sold'). I think some of the larger packs have a lower cost per unit, so even revenue doesn't provide complete picture of units shipped... though at the end of the day, revenue is what matters.

I fully agree with your first three answers, but to the fourth I couldn't disagree any more adamantly than to say mismanagement is exactly what has Mannkind in its current distressed state. I would be harder on them but after all I am an equal ass for having pumped my money into their fiasco being my own personal mismanagement. If Al had been 20 years younger I believe he could have driven it home. Preying for a miracle here and hoping their doing the same!

I agree exactly. I initially thought $ revenue was the answer on this but it is not, for the reasons dbc gives. Also, can anyone clarify the status of the weekly revenue data from bloomberg, how is it calculated? Is it actual or estimated, etc etc..? I agree of course that ultimately revenue is what matters but the trend in product volume is important at the moment to indicate whether the sales effort is working. TRX count is not a sensible measure given the change in pack sizes, and hence Spencer Osborne needs to recalculate his graphs.. Spencer: if you read this how about re analysing the data using product sales volume, and not scripts, otherwise your comparison of pre and post sanofi sales is an apples vs pears comparison.
