I did for quite sometime as we fell from $8 to $1 pre split, and that is how I ended up having invested way more than I should have. Since the real prospect of bankruptcy became apparent, I've fought against my emotional and gambling instincts to "average down". It isn't a logical investing strategy at this point. If you are doing it just realize it is more like gambling than investing, so don't bet what you can't afford to lose.

And here's the problem, if it satisfies your urge for gambling, then you will also naturally bet what you can't afford to lose, otherwise, most people won't get the thrill they're looking for. Unfortunately, in most cases, such stock gambler's spouse has a somewhat different perspective. |

I've been averaging down since I first bought shares for $6 in 2015. My average was down to $1.32 before rs, but been buying after rs. If my wife found out how much I dropped on this stock I'd be divorced...  |
