During the month of May Mannkind: 1) Announced the deal with One Drop, 2) Saw scripts begin to rise, 3) Appointed Dr. Michael Castagna as CEO and 4) Announced the deal with Biomm. If One Drop and Biomm's actual perspective of MNKD's financials were dire as some believe, a reasonable business person might conclude these companies probably wouldn't want their names associated with such. While we haven't yet been told how the runway is going to be extended, it's my opinion that One Drop and Biomm must know more about MNKD's real financial situation than what is available publicly. The string of May announcements were good news and we can be hopeful June will bring us great news meaning confirmation of a middle east deal, confirmation of the Abu Dhabi shipment rumor or maybe something else that extends the runway. Knowing all four May announcements came as a surprise to investors, we have a pretty solid foundation to believe that our new CEO may bring more unexpected good news. GLTA

Could not agree with you more. And to add to that, Jason Appel has yet to show us what he's capable of with respect to the social media aspects of a launch in the year 2017. We have yet to see an actual commercial and Reversed has not yet aired. I suspect that anyone who does not have access to Discovery will be able to watch Reversed on YouTube with an Afrezza commercial preceding it. Could Jason work this out? I would think so.
Much is yet to be revealed in addition to moving Afrezza out to the international markets.
My hope is that any raise that the company requires will be minimal and focused on getting over a small hump to the point where sales will cover operating expenses afterwhich the true value of Afrezza will begin to reveal itself.

Exactly right. Not to mention positive buzz from tv show going viral and shared with diabetics. Positive lung reports from patients on it for years which makes doctors more acceptable to prescribe. Insurance companies that were denying access now adding. So many positive catalysts in store. Bottom was a month ago. There will be bumps in the road with the manipulation of stock price but it's onward and upward from here. Those waiting to buy until the runway is extended might wait too long. Buffet said "be fearful when others are greedy and greedy when others are fearful". Others are fearful about bankruptcy and dilution
Now is time to buy in my opinion which is what I've done.

I think the sentiment around Afrezza is at an all time high. I was not a fan of Matt, and I am ok with the decision but no one knows for sure what happened there. We can all pick apart the language but no one knows for sure. The deal in Brazil is positive but in typical MNKD style comes with a catch. No cash and timelines. History has not been good to us with MNKD and their timelines.
I have been a harsh critic of MNKD but continue to follow the story, and voice what I think is logic. I am using house money right now in my MNKD investment. I would buy more once they secure cash.

What is happening in July that two EX- CEOs are being paid until then?
Inquiring minds, ya' know....

Akemp, Tink, Deaner:
You guys sum it up perfectly. The word, the buzz, the scoop, the grapevine, the 411 will reach millions of PWD's within a few months - leading, yes, to satisfying cash flow but way more importantly to millions of vastly improved lives.
Al, baby, we hope and trust you're smiling!

That's exactly what I've been wondering. I've been wondering about this July date since they gave it to Haken.

That's exactly what I've been wondering. I've been wondering about this July date since they gave it to Haken. Agreed. So Haken gets an extra year and seven months pay whereas Matt gets an extra two month's pay? Hard to argue that Haken did a better job than Matt. Maybe Al was just personally protecting Haken? Maybe the board just decided to coincide the ending of payments to both at the same time? I'd like to think there's something to this July termination coincidence. July's not far off so we'll know soon if there's more to this.

Looking forward to more partnership deals in June, specially ones that can bring in some upfront payment. MNKD should sacrifice some margin in exchange of upfront payment.

I recall there were lots of discussions regarding certain CTO with respect to the sanofi partnership agreement that will expire July 2017 and that Haken's termination was to match that date. Not sure whether such theory has any merit in it.

What is happening in July that two EX- CEOs are being paid until then? Inquiring minds, ya' know.... The show is also airing that month. Seem to recall management saying July would be the earliest they could potentially hear about label. Most advertising has not been rolled out including a commercial that will air during the show in July. Seems that be a lot lining up in July.

I think we looked into that, and the CTO expires in November. mnkd.proboards.com/thread/1527/order-granting-confidential-treatmentThat really had my attention, because for several months I thought both dates coincided.

I brought this up in another thread a few days ago, when we first heard of Matt's departure. Seems very coincidental to me.... SO,,,, if there really are stars to be aligned pointing at July, then it's not a giant leap to think the current plan began way back when Haken first got his July date.... which came from Al Mann himself..... think about that for awhile....... I started thinking about this yesterday but haven't had time to look at timelines,,,,, but any chance Al himself set up this master plan, maybe with Amgen, after the Sanofi debacle and before his passing? ?? Yes I know Haken's July deal was done prior to Sanofi's departure, but c'mon he must've known it was coming by then.
