Today is a sad day. For the past several years I have been telling my wife's uncle who had T2 Diabetes that he should speak to his doctor about Afrezza the Inhaled Human Insulin for his meal time needs. Bruce was very overweight and was a Heart Attack waiting to happen. At our family Holiday dinners while I was using my Afrezza to cover my meal time needs I would ask Bruce why aren't you taking your insulin for this meal. His answer was, I just don't want to go upstairs, as he kept eating. I'm sure his BG levels were sky rocketing. I gave him so much information, showed him so many of the videos on YouTube, told him how easy it is to control your numbers and how convenient it was. He had asked his doctor (Endo) and her reply was, it's not for you. He didn't smoke, he didn't have COPD and didn't have any other lung problems. He was the NE regional sales manager for Michelin Tires and the nicest guy. He just didn't know how to demand that his doctor give him the BEST available insulin for his life style. She was ignorant and should be put to the carpet and be held responsible for the Sudden Massive Heart Attack that killed him this morning. He just retired a few weeks ago and was getting ready to take a long needed vacation with his wife. Just imagine how many Diabetics are just like Bruce who die everyday because the mainstream formula that Dr's give their patients are just to difficult to comply with. His death as well as others are senseless Especially since Afrezza has proven to be so effective, efficient and easy to comply with. Something is wrong here and the medical community needs to wake up before thousands of other Diabetics die from the complications of Diabetes. If you are reading this please forward it to everyone you know. Lives can be saved here. Thank you.

Sorry to hear about the loss. My grand father lost his left foot to diabetes an year ago. He lives in India. So, I couldn't have helped him with Afrezza.

So many diabetics die of heart attacks. www.niddk.nih.gov/health-information/diabetes/overview/preventing-problems/heart-disease-stroke
Hypokalemia All insulin products, including HUMALOG, cause a shift in potassium from the extracellular to intracellular space, possibly leading to hypokalemia. Untreated hypokalemia may cause respiratory paralysis, ventricular arrhythmia, and death. Monitor potassium levels in patients at risk for hypokalemia if indicated (e.g., patients using potassium-lowering medications, patients taking medications sensitive to serum potassium concentrations).
pi.lilly.com/us/humalog-pen-pi.pdf I tried to bring up the Faers information. I did not have the correct link in. My bet is heart attacks are listed.
Physicians know the risks of subq. I wonder why afrezza was not for him, aye? quote: Bruce was very overweight.

That is very sad, and take note, that's not Sports' relation, she was asked by another to share.
As long as we're sharing, I spoke to Spiro last evening and he is doing very well in general. In particular, he is still on Afrezza and says it continues to perform great for him. He is bewildered, like many of us, how such a fine product can't get traction. He was calling from Siberia, so I'm not quite sure what that means...
