SMH. Damon Dash just informed quite possibly several million people in the LA area, (more if it was syndicated) about Afrezza and the vast majority of posts on this thread topic want to talk about weight gain. Ridiculous.
Come on people. Take a victory when it presents itself and be grateful the guy is going to bat for the drug at all.

You're giving KTLA too much credit for its viewership numbers

The newscaster with the son is Frank Buckley. He was the Grand Marshal of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Walk to Cure Diabetes in 2011. Castagna follows him on twitter. Hope this interview isn't a one-off because Buckley reached out. Hope it's the other way around and more interviews are being efforted with other media outlets.

Don't underestimate Dash's draw. When I played various clips of Afrezza to co-workers (mostly African-Americans) the only clip that captured their attention was the Ron James interview with Dash. I will play the KTLA clip Friday and give an update.

It is amusing to read how people blame medications for their weight gain instead of their lack of self-control when eating. I'm on no medication and I have had serious weight gain.

I do too ... especially after going to Las Vegas. Go figure ?!!!
Speaking of Vegas ... did you hear that the 300 lb. "Y" was shaking in the wind so maintenance had to take it down to do repairs? They will put it back up tomorrow.
Right now the sign says ... BALL S

BALL S?
Here's a true story, happened at Arlington Park (thoroughbred racing) in Chicago about 40 years ago. This young guy was working near the booth where the PA announcer/race caller sat; it was a summer job for him. He planned, he waited. One fine afternoon, after the third race, the regular announcer took a bathroom break, and our guy went into action. He went into the booth, grabbed the mike, went "hot" with it, and announced to the crowd, "Your attention ladies and gentlemen, in the fifth race, there is a late change - please scratch My Balls, once again, in the fifth race, please scratch My Balls."
Apparently, people were going nutty looking through their programs trying to find My Balls, so as to cross him out.
Told to me by someone I completely trust! (The young guy lost his summer job, but it was likely worth it.)

Oh ... so my story is still active?
I love horse races ... well actually, I don't watch the horses run ... I just bet on the races. If I ever saw some of the horses that I bet on ... I would never have bet on them.
Gotta be there to understand.
As for my BALL S story ... it was the BALLYS sign. And it is a true event that just happened today.

I know many on afrezza with zero weight gain. Most taking afrezza hint they can eat more and they can because of afrezza controlling your blood sugar but your body will be getting more calories hence weight gain. I know know more with no diabetes that gain weight. Comm not is irrelevant.

Great interview.
Too bad he mentioned the weight gain but he did say that it was due to living more normally and didn't make it sound like a big deal.
I wonder how he is being compensated as an official spokesman for Afrezza?

Awesome, awesome interview! I hope there are TON's more like it in the near future.
The weight gain comment didn't bother me but i was a bit creeped out when Dash channeled Trump at the end and said, (my paraphase) "I love all women. (pointing at the female news anchor) I love you more than anyone else up here." Even though he didn't know her from Adam. Slightly creepy. lol
