ADA conference is 13-17 June, guess they are still holding their "No Partner, No Approval, No need to be there" line from the Quarterly call.

I doubt we'll get approval by the ADA conference, although we all wish it would happen. I'm glad to see they are still trying to move forward here.
I guess it's better to under promise and over deliver? LOL
BTW - Love the Canadian definition (I'm Canadian myself)

They'll be at the ADA, but they may forego a booth.

If they really want to save money, why don't forgo the investor conferences as well. Not much will be said if there is no FDA approval etc.

I don't think it's about the money so much, mnkdmillionaire, although that's what they said. It may be just the way things are done in the industry. With respect to these other conferences, I think keeping the buzz going among analysts and brokers who cover biotech is very important, and they likely signed up already, and it's bad form to cancel. It doesn't cost them that much to send a couple of guys to present. One is local and at a beautiful resort!!

Saying they will maybe not go to the ADA might be more to point out the FDA is slowing down science and innovation then anything else? It might have been more a message to the FDA then to anyone else maybe?

MNKD will be at the ADA conference to make scientific presentations. If Afrezza is not approved by the FDA before the conference date MNKD will not be able to promote Afrezza at a commercial booth. That's the law. You can't promote a product for medical use if it is not FDA approved. Therefore, if not yet approved, it would not be "worth it" to man the booth on the convention floor.

Ezra, it might be worth it to man the booth and give away free soda, cookies and candy. Would the FDA or the ADA see through that?

They did this in 2010, and I visited their booth - I enjoyed some free ice cream with Al. They were even showing the new Dreamboat (but wouldn't let you touch it). They could certainly talk about the new studies more. Remember, they will likely release the full studies in a journal article shortly.

MNKD is signed up to have a booth and this should be interesting to to see if there is good news prior to the ADA or during the convention. My guess is the FDA is unpredictable so we should count on no announcement before or during the convention.
