And all this for $1.99/sh! This is a lot of entertainment here for the price, if one just bought one share.

Think..superior glucose control..Afrezza..better priced..and notice recent protest on high prices at all other insulin producers..except for Mannkind (no protesters) for their prices as Mannkind has frozen their price even at low manufacturing rates...Amazing..stunning actually! It is definitely NOT low priced. It's as expensive as hell. Way more expensive to insurance companies after they get their rebates from pharmacies and benefits managers. I'm sick to death of hearing the Pollyanna's on this Board claim it's less expensive than injected. That is flat out false. I paid $380 for my last box with 90 cartridges. (no insurance coverage). Some things here should be interpreted in the vein of Trump. You can't take it as literal.

Drug companies absolutely do not want you using co-pay cards as an insurance substitute.

The solution is self insurance for the individual with stop loss insurance that kicks in at 5k. The government is in the way currently.

Thanks for the Card suggestion Itell... but I am not eligible for it.
My insurance "nominally" covers Afrezza but requires prior authorization. I and my doctor have submitted and DENIED by the insurance company which cites cheaper Humalog and Novalog as the reason.
I have tried, I am not eligible for the card.

Not sure if this would save you any money, but Walgreens has a savings card. I use it for my asthma meds. Cant recall if it only applies to those w/o insurance like me. Worth a phone call

Try not to blame MNKD for you not having insurance or for the government that doesn't provide a free ride. Mnkd has frozen prices below other insulins and provided a card. Recently they donated fresh newly made Afrezza for free to Texas. I think asking MNKD to solve the health insurance fiasco is a bit unfair. However Afrezza might solve the high cost to our country from diabetes as it puts people in range and when used with a basal has over 60% less hypos and the basal is the blame..so..be fair

That is the reason so few insurance companies have decent coverage for it. It's wonderful insulin, I use it occasionally when I can afford it. But for the love of God, I'm really, really sick of uninformed people claiming it is less expensive. It is NOT. Why else do you think the world's best insulin sells less than 400 scripts weekly after having been on the market now for two years and seven months. Open your eyes.

Thanks for the year old link, itellthefuture, but I tend to believe the person who actually uses Afrezza and would like to use it more often but for the cost.

Agreed Alethea, you were gracious. itellthefuture, MNKD does have to solve the insurance fiasco. Mike had insurance reimbursement work on two of the slides cc august 8. It seems privatized insurance has a system to maximize profits with label equivalencies and the deals they make with manufactures. Never ever badger the diabetic.
